Earlier this month, Inspired Family Entertainment, the distribution entity of Skipstone Pictures, announced that it had inked an output deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Inc. “Only God Can” will be the first title distributed for home entertainment by SPHE. The movie takes a look at the intimate relationship between five friends battling life’s challenges that grow more difficult with each passing year.

The film had a limited theatrical release across North America. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s video-on-demand release was made available on November 7, 2017. Meanwhile, Skipstone Pictures is preparing for their new feature film, F.R.E.D.I., which was shot in Bentonville, Arkansas. Skipstone Pictures has finished principal photography on the project.

CEO of Skipstone, Johnny Remo, is producing the film, while longtime friend Sean Olson will be directing. Kerri Elder and Blake Elder, who happen to be Arkansas locals and owners of Rockhill Media, are Executive Producers. Jasper Bingfeng Yu and George Yaming Zhang are also Executive Producers.

The stars of the film have appeared in some of Hollywood’s biggest hits, including X Men 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Lost City of Z, and Heroes Reborn. Kelly Hu and Angus MacFadyen star alongside Lucis Hoyos, Christina Cox, Tyler Christopher, Reid Miller, and Casimere Jollette

The film centers around an intelligent and lovable robot known as F.R.E.D.I. The robot is stolen from a secret research facility by lead scientist, Dr. Andi Palmer (Kelly Hu). During an intense chase, Dr. Palmer hides the robot inside of an abandoned forest shelter. It is eventually found by 15-year-old James (Lucius Hoyos).

James quickly develops a deep bond with F.R.E.D.I. and they navigate common teenage drama. All the while, James desperately keeps the robot hidden from his recently divorced father, Randy (Tyler Christopher). James enlists help from his friends to keep F.R.E.D.I. away from the maniac corporate villain, Grant (Angus MacFadyen).
