Hijack Review

A very strong finish to a not-so-stellar episode! I felt the first three episodes were point-on, but this one seemed to be lacking a bit somewhere. The suspense with the fighter jets being called off at the last second almost felt lackluster. I can appreciate the suspense with the list of demands even more. I did like the fact that the death wasn’t dwelt on. In fact, the episode could leave many questioning which passenger got shot.

David as a physician couldn’t create Lewis an artificial airway but Sam pulls it off flawlessly is far from realistic. I am just speculating here but I feel Jamie may be some kind of law enforcement plant. With Marsha arriving at home and searching for the missing Kai, it almost makes me wonder if the angry young man doesn’t have a hand in this as well. It would certainly justify his role in the series. Either way, the episode was enjoyable and earned a 5.3 out of 10.

I think Kai was kidnapped. Remember the guys in the van calling to confirm the address? I think David just kind of punked out where it came to punching through a man’s chest with a needle. Perhaps he’s more of just a general practitioner. Makes me wonder if Sam didn’t serve in Afghanistan or somewhere being so willing to do it.

Yes it is kinda dragging out a bit but that’s only because American shows insist on having 8 or 10 episodes instead of 6. The last two should be action packed enough as it winds down.

That actually makes perfect sense. I didn’t even think about that honestly lol. Agree about the 8 to 10 episodes thing which is usually unnecessary. The British are better in that area and even some don’t need six episodes. Hijack is only 7 at least and a miniseries so we should be able to expect a satisfying conclusion or at least one that closes enough doors.
