Audrey drives right by the crash. After the intro, Daniel Harrow (Ioan Gruffudd) finds a mysterious note from Soroya (Mirrah Foulkes). Soroya speaks with Nichols (Damien Garvey), Maxine (Robyn Malcolm) and Nick. Soroya is removed from the river bones case. The group agrees not to tell Harrow about the discovery. Daniel runs into Fairly (Darren Gilshenan). Fairly has a letter from the Geneva Institute to Maxine. He believes that is on the verge of getting a promotion. Daniel takes the letter. The motor vehicle accident arrives and Daniel returns the letter to Maxine.
Fairly and Harrow are forced to work together on the case. Daniel meets with Simon (Remy Hii). Together, they show Audrey the bodies of the victims, Kerrie (Sarah Cooke) and Glenn (Simon Durrell). They’re her mother and brother. She tells them that Glenn was slow, so her mother drove him everywhere. Dass checks out the crash scene. She gets a call from Harrow. Dass decides to stick around and investigate the scene. Stephanie (Anna Lise Phillips) gets a visit from Nichols. She learns about the vehicle. The autopsies begin. It is discovered that Glenn was once shot in the head. It appears that the bullet has been there for many years.
Steph watches home videos of herself and Robert (Ditch Davey). Fern (Ella Newton) and Callan (Hunter Page-Lochard) prepare to leave town. Before they do, Fern visits her mother and learns about the car. She calls Callan and tell him that she’ll be a little longer. She tries to get ahold of Daniel, but he doesn’t answer. Daniel and Dass speak with a local police officer. She tells them about the guns in town. A memorial is held for Glenn and Kerrie. Royce Gannon (John McNeil), who used to be the cop in town, does not attend. Dass and Daniel visit Audrey. She doesn’t know anything about Glenn being shot. She does recall him bleeding after a visit to a farm.
She also insists that Glenn didn’t have any enemies. Daniel gets a call from Simon. He learns that Kerrie had advanced breast cancer. He asks Audrey about plant spores in Kerrie’s lungs. They contemplate what they’re going to do about Quinn’s car. In the morning, Daniel returns to town and looks at the bench, which is dedicated to Holly. He brings coffee to Royce. He asks Royce about Holly’s disappearance. Royce explains that back then a bunch of animals were killed. It all stopped after Glenn hit his head at the farm. However, it started up again not too long ago. Royce tells Daniel to speak with Holly’s best friend, Audrey. He visits her and finds bruises on her neck. Holly threatens to call the police. Then, Daniel meets with Dass at the morgue.
He tells her about Holly. They contemplate if the shooting fixed Glenn and a recent wreck messed him up again. They track down Royce. He admits that he gave Kerrie her gun back if she agreed to use it on Glenn. Daniel learns about the plants from Yellowly (Ed Wightman). Then, he visits Audrey with Dass. When Soroya leaves, Daniel hears something coming from the greenhouse. He finds a manhole and Audrey inside with Holly’s bones. Audrey admits that her mother didn’t want them to go near the greenhouse. She finally tells the truth. They knew that Glenn was involved. After the shooting, he changed so they didn’t report him to the police. After the crash, Glenn returned to his old self and tried to attack Audrey.
Callan and Fern wait for the bus. When it arrives, Callan gets on, but Fern doesn’t. It seems that their relationship is coming to an end. Nichols asks Daniel about Quinn’s wedding ring. He wonders why someone would remove it. When Nichols returns to the office, he plays a voicemail from Steph to Quinn. Steph threatens to kill Quinn. At home, Steph looks at the wedding ring.
Harrow Review
This was another pretty good episode of Harrow. The crash storyline was pretty interesting and very unique. It is becoming clear that Daniel, Stephanie and Fern are aware of what happened to Quinn. I am still not sure who actually did the killing though. We’ll find out in future episodes hopefully. This episode scores a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Harrow right now!
