Harrow Series 1 Episode 4 Recap

dass and harrow episode 4

As the episode begins, two young boys prepare to climb into a tree. When they do, they find a human skull. The drunken property owner, Connelly (Chris Haywood), quickly becomes the main suspect in the murder. Daniel (Ioan Gruffudd) checks out the medical brace. Simon (Remy Hii) interrupts him and prevents him from getting rid of it. Soroya Dass (Mirrah Foulkes) learns about the brace and the serial number right away. She challenges Harrow to see who can uncover the brace’s owner first. Daniel speaks with Fairly (Darren Gilshenan). He learns that the company that made the brace went bankruptcy. Fairly tells him to check St. Catherine’s hospital. Daniel visits the facility and is shown the massive trove of documents. Soroya arrives soon. They agree that it will take them forever to go through the documents. Soroya drags Harrow away to the new crime scene.

Harrow believes that the victim has been there for a few years. Nichols (Damien Garvey) and the team search Connelly’s house. The man’s wife has been missing for quite some time, but her never reported her missing. They break open a cupboard and find a bunch of knives inside. That night, Harrow visits Jack (Tony Barry). Harrow admits that he isn’t ready to talk about it just yet. He also asks him about the surgeons that got in trouble while working with the medical brace company. Fern (Ella Newton) and Callan (Hunter Page-Lochard) agree to work hard, so they can afford to rent a place. For the night, they plan to sleep in another vacant building. The following day, Harrow tells Dass that he doesn’t believe the victim was Connelly’s wife. The body was in poor shape similar to a homeless person. Simon and Harrow find blade marks on the bones. Dass is convinced that Connelly is responsible.

Harrow believes that the victim was stabbed with a double-bladed knife. However, one wasn’t discovered in Connelly’s collection. Harrow reports the information to Nichols right away. Then, Harrow visits Connelly. He finds the man hanging in his wife’s room. He manages to cut him down and save his life. Next, Harrow learns that the victim was 31-year-old Sally Chenery. She had been homeless for a long time. She got in trouble for kidnapping a child, but gave it back the following day. They speak with a filmmaker, who works with Sally. They watch an interview with Sally and discover a rude man ordering her away from the camera. The filmmaker explains that Sally thought the child was hers, but DNA proved otherwise. They set out to track the man down. The knife is finally found. Stephanie (Anna Lise Phillips) gets a visit from a debt collector. She has no choice, but to call Harrow and ask for money.

When they meet, they also run into Dass. Jesse Walsh (Uli Latukefu) joins them moments later. The group shares a drink together. Dass and Stephanie chat about Harrow for awhile, before they split up. Harrow tells Dass that he didn’t think it was over with Stephanie until that night. She is forced to leave when she gets a call from her sister. When Harrow returns home, he has a conversation with his homeless friend, Lindsay (Richard Green). He puts Lindsay on the man’s trail. Fern gets a call from her father. She ignores it. Then, she and her boyfriend are run off by a security guard. She tells Callan that she can’t keep sleeping in vacant buildings. When Stephanie returns home, she finds Fern and Callan sleeping in her shed. Lindsay wakes up Harrow in the middle of the night. He tells him that the man is Phil Ritson (Damion Hunter). Harrow meets with Phil the following day. He admits to being the man in the video, but explains that he was only concerned about Sally’s health.

Sally had a disease of sorts and needed medical attention. Phil also admits he doesn’t know whether he was the child’s father. Harrow gets in touch with Fairly. Fairly explains that the woman might have had ovarian cancer. Harrow returns to the scene and climbs into the tree. When he does, he finds the camera and the victim’s hand. Dass arrives and photographs the evidence. They visit the neighbor Cassandra (Simone Annan). She insists she didn’t know the victim. However, she has a young son, Noah (Kamil Ellis). After their conversation with Cassandra, Harrow and Dass suspect that Noah might have been Sally’s son. Callan tells Fern that he took their money to buy drugs from Billie (Ilai Swindells). He wanted to sell them. Instead, Callan was beaten by Billie’s men and the money was stolen. Fern promises to speak with Billie.

Dass and Harrow check out the photographs from the camera. It is pictures of Noah and Cassandra. They check out Cassandra’s old house. They find blood under the floors. Cassandra is arrested. She promises that she is innocent. Fern visits Billie. She gets 1,000 dollars worth of drugs and promises to give Billie 1,500 dollars. Harrow speaks with Dass. He explains that Sally’s was supposed to be a twin and that threw off her DNA. She was actually Noah’s mother. Harrow also begins to suspect that Noah might be the killer. He speaks with him the following day. Noah admits that he stabbed her when trying to protect himself and Cassandra. Harrow receives a package containing photographs and items belonging to Noah and Sally. Harrow and Simon learn that Maxine (Robyn Malcolm) is in a relationship with Nichols. They’re both weirded out.

Dass calls Harrow and tells him that she has a whole team on the search for the owner of the medical brace. He uses Jack’s information to track down Dr. Whittemore. He gets the documents and escapes, before Dass and the police arrive. Daniel burns the documents.

Harrow Review

First, let me say that I had to rush the recap above. If there is any errors, please forgive me. Work gets in the way of pleasure too often. So, this episode of Harrow was likely the best yet. The side story with Fern and Callan isn’t great, but the murder of Sally and her backstory were pretty good. It was definitely very emotional and had some good twists along the way. Harrow continues outsmarting Dass and Simon. I suspect that it is only a matter of time, before he is caught. This episode was pretty good. It scores a solid 8 out of 10.
