He just can’t remember it right now. It appears that Larry is attracted to Ellie Harding (Skye Lucia Degruttola). He is ordered to find out what he can about the flowers. Ellie wants to know more but Geordie isn’t willing to tell her anything. Will is surprised that Larry is interested in Ellie. Mrs. Astor enters and Geordie begins questioning her about her husband. The owner catches them and his brother, John Graham (David Bamber), tries to come downstairs. He gets angry and commands his brother to return to his room and he does. Graham takes them out to the garage where the car is located. It is covered with a tarp and Graham says it has barely been used in 20 years. When the tarp is removed, Geordie finds a dent on the top of the hood. Meanwhile, Leonard watches as Chapman works on the television antenna and refers to the TV as the idiots’ lantern.

After that, Will goes to the church and finds Mrs. Astor there. She tells Will that she doesn’t believe Harry Graham was responsible. Will asks her if Dickie was mean to her as well. She confesses that she didn’t love her husband. She was naive enough to think they married for love but things went wrong along the way.

She suggests her mom is right and she contemplates handing her badge back in. Geordie tells her not to do that. They might as well use Diana while she is around. He tells Cathy to do the job she loves and that he is proud of her. He gives her the dead man’s flowers too.
Will joins Amelia and St. John who are preparing for the opera. Will tries to talk Amelia out of marrying St. John. Will wanted her to try and he isn’t happy now either. Amelia storms out a few moments later. Will speaks in church about family. We see that Daniel has been visiting Leonard while Sylvia is away. Will continues working with Matthew (Jim Caesar) in the gym.
Grantchester Review
This was a much better episode of Grantchester. It wasn’t nearly as slow as the last one. I think the show is best when it focuses on the relationships between the main characters. This one hit it home on that. I loved the scenes with the television and Sylvia’s reaction. I am worried that Leonard is going to get himself into trouble with Daniel. What is going to happen when Sylvia finds out? She didn’t handle it well last time.
The story was decent as well. I liked the Graham brothers and the murder mystery. The episode was just better all around. It scores an 8 out of 10. Previous recaps of Grantchester can be found on Reel Mockery!

Hello, what is the name of the actor who played Dickie Astor? Thank you!
Hey there. Let me see if I can find out for you. Will try going through the credits to see if it mentions his name. It isn’t on IMDB. Cute doggy by the way. 🙂
Weird. Not in the credits so I’d assume it was an uncredited role. I really don’t recall the actor but he kinda looks like Phil Davis. That is the first name that came to mind when I saw him. Not positive though and I really am not sure why he would take an uncredited role since he is pretty big in England.
