Glitch Season 3 Episode 4 Recap

glitch series 3 episode 4

At the start of the episode, Tam (Harry Tseng) and Belle (Jessica Faulkner) go to the cemetery. Tam stops at his grave and becomes convinced that he failed his family. We see a flashback. Tam runs through the camp and meets up with young Paddy (Rhys Mitchell). Tam sells him opium. Then, Paddy makes a comment about Molly (Ruby Duncan) falling for Tam. It appears that Molly and Tam have developed a relationship together. Judith (Taylor Ferguson) arrives at the cemetery and speaks with Belle. She explains that Belle’s parents might change their mind if a police officer speaks with them.

Belle returns to Tam a few seconds later. She learns about his relationship with the white woman. They head to the Chinese shop to get information from the clerk. Tam spots a little boy through the window. The boy waves at the cats and Tam believes he is waving at him. He tells Belle that the boy knows him so they need to go after him. Mark (Dustin Clare) drives the van with Kirstie (Hannah Monson) and Charlie (Sean Keenan) in the back. They arrive at a warehouse of sorts. Charlie and Kirstie are removed from the van.

Their hands are freed before Samarvart Chadra Gard (Dalip Sondhi) enters. He explains that he works for Noregard. Charlie and Kirstie are given refreshments. Gard explains that he has a deal for them. He promises that they’re perfectly safe. Kate (Emma Booth) takes Phil (Rob Collins) to the cabin and ties him to a chair. He tells her that other people are coming and they want to kill her. James (Patrick Brammall) meets with Beau (Aaron McGrath) and learns about Phil. Beau tries to give James tea. James grabs the cup and drops it immediately. He acts like it was very hot.

Back outside, John Doe (Rodger Corser) insists that they need to hurry up and get things done. James wonders if Phil is right and they’re wrong. John Doe is sticking with the original theory. Belle and Tam track the boy to the nearby school. Belle speaks with him briefly and the boy agrees to go with them. Meanwhile, Phil tells Kate about his decision to change his attitude. When he came back, he thought his purpose was to kill the others. Now, he regrets everything he has done. He tells her about him murdering Doctor Heysen. Charlie and Kirstie learn about Gard’s offer.

He wants them to go to Sweden. They’ll be protected by Noregard and they’ll receive new identities there. However, they will need to cooperate with the company and help with research. Gard explains that they’re very valuable. He puts them on the same level as Jesus. Tam tells the little boy about his past as a dancer. In a flashback, we see Molly with a little baby. Tam dances around and performs for the crowd. They speak about the hungry ghosts and Tam asks the little boy if he will free him. The boy agrees to do so. Chris (John Leary) arrives and finds Phil tied to the chair.

He tells them about Kirstie and Charlie being taken. They believe that they’ve been taken to the Noregard facility. Phil still has a key card so he can get them inside. William and James arrive at the cabin. James tells William to stay in the truck. He goes in and finds it empty. William joins him inside a few moments later. He finds out that James is relieved that Kate isn’t there. James confesses that he is going to have a tough time killing her. William offers to do it but James isn’t going to let that happen. They find the chair and the broken bottle. Outside, they find dead birds. They agree that things are happening very quickly and they cannot delay any longer. The laws of nature are breaking down.

Tam and the others return to the Chinese restaurant. He steals some incenses for the ritual before running off with the boy. Belle cannot escape. The store’s owner asks her where they’re going and she tells him to the cemetery. Chris, Kate, and Phil arrive at Noregard. Chris speaks with David Goldman (Max Brown) while the others sneak around the facility. Kate and Phil find nothing inside. When they prepare to leave, Phil finds a clipboard with the addresses for two safe houses written on it. The group decides to check out those facilities next.

Gard asks Kirstie and Charlie if they’ve made their decision. They ask him again if they’re allowed to leave. He says that they can and nothing will happen to them. The door is opened and they prepare to leave. We see that Mark has a sniper rifle aimed in their direction. At the last minute. Kirstie convinces Charlie that they should think about things a bit longer. She asks Gard about abortion in Sweden. Charlie tells her that it is up to her. She decides that they should go to Sweden. Tam and the young boy perform the ritual but it doesn’t work. Tam is still there. He becomes angry and slaps the boy across the face. The boy runs and Belle chases after him.

The boy’s family arrives and they take him away. Belle goes to Tam and tells him he did something awful slapping the boy. Tam tries to make it up to her by giving her the rest of the cookies. He admits that he doesn’t understand. He suggests he might not be a hungry ghost after all. He wonders what he is then. He doesn’t know where he is going to go now but Belle believes Chris can sort things out with her family. Belle does her best to cheer him up. Charlie and Kirstie get into the back of Mark’s van with the assurance that he is only a chauffeur now. The van drives to an airstrip. Gard says that they’ll stop in Dubai first. They have facilities there. Gard tells them that they can leave as soon as they’ve finished loading.

Gard thanks Mark in private. Mark is told that he cannot let the others fall into the wrong hands. There are competitors out there trying to get them. Mark suggests bringing in some mates to help. Chris, Phil, and Kate continue looking for the couple. They find the building empty. Chris learns about the airstrip and they rush there. They make it in time before Kirstie and Charlie can get on the plane. Kirstie tells them that they’re going to Sweden. Mark tries to grab Kristie but Phil won’t let him. They begin fighting. Charlie fights back too. Gard tries to convince Kirstie to get onto the plane. Kirstie leaves with the others. Gard tells Mark that they’ll get her back because he doesn’t fail.

In the squad car, Charlie tells them what happened. Kirstie is worried about Phil and she contemplates going back. Charlie tells her that they should talk to everyone about it first. Chris tells them that they’ll go somewhere safe and quiet to discuss it. He takes them to his house. Kirstie doesn’t want to be there with Pete (Robert Menzies). Chris tells them about the other two people. Tam and Belle are introduced to the others. The group learns a little about Belle and Tam. They learn that Tam still doesn’t know how he died. Pete enters so Chris takes him back into his room. Kirstie offers Belle a beer but she turns it down. Kirsite gives it to her anyway.

Belle speaks with Kirstie about being murdered by the man in the wheelchair. She says that she was killed by her own family. Charlie and Kate talk about Kirstie’s pregnancy outside. Charlie explains that Kirstie wants to get rid of the baby. Then, they speak about Owen. Chris steps outside and Charlie asks him about James. Chris tells Charlie that he should give Raf a call and let him know he is safe. Charlie does so. Phil speaks with Tam. Phil says something about a Chinese camp being destroyed around there. Tam wonders if he has been brought back to avenge his death. They end up shaking hands. Later that night, James finally arrives.

Kate is happy to see him. She begins crying and they hug. William enters a few seconds later. He doesn’t seem impressed with their romance.

Glitch Review

This was a very unique episode of Glitch. The action was toned down and the characters were forced to face some harsh realities. James and William are still convinced that the others need to die. However, it appears that James is going to have a tough time following through. William does not. Charlie and Kirstie were given a chance to escape. What would have happened if they had gone to Sweden? Kirstie seemed up for it but not Charlie.

We’ll revisit that in the next episode. I like the fact that Phil is now on the good side. Belle and Tam have joined the others. I am not sure where things are going to go from here. I can’t wait to find out though. This season has been very good. This episode scores 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Glitch right now! Sorry for any mistakes above. Was under pressure to get this done very quickly!
