He senses a reunion of souls coming for Jess. As for Elliot, passionate love is coming his way in the form of an earth sign. Thornley just happens to be a Taurus. Before long, Jess tells Elliot that the shelter is about to open. Once they reach the shelter, Laszlo tells them that they euthanized the cat.

He reveals another man came in asking about the cat. They show him a picture and he confirms it was Peter. Then, he changes his mind and says it was Will before asking if they’re the same person. He’s recovering from laser eye surgery. Outside, Elliot finds a note calling him a killer. Jess finds out. She wants to go home and shower. Then, she is going to find out who she matched with on the DNA app. Elliot has to find a new job. Jess goes to the DNA app headquarters to see if they can help her. Dead Hot Review

The second episode of Dead Hot was decent although nothing groundbreaking. The story is definitely unique when compared to other crime dramas. Despite the unrealistic nature of the story and the bits of humor scattered throughout, the performers actually do well in their respective roles.

There is a good chance that many people won’t like Dead Hot, but there is potential here for it to get more interesting. The mystery is surprisingly strong with many possibilities making it difficult to predict what could happen. The quirkiness of the series prevents the story from becoming too bleak making it a better choice for viewers tired of the same old formula.

This was an enjoyable episode that saw Elliot and Jess go in separate directions to seek answers. It scores a 5.5 out of 10. Recaps of Dead Hot are available on Reel Mockery here.
