As this episode of Creamerie begins, Jaime and the others lay Jackson to rest. Pip (Perlina Lau) believes they need to be asking themselves who Lane’s predator is. Michelle (Kimberley Crossman) says the Prime Minister. Pip says they can do nothing, return to the safe place, or expose Lane to the whole country. Alex (Ally Xue) questions why she’d listen to them. Michelle and Pip know it is maintenance Monday tomorrow at Government House. Pip believes that’ll give them the chance to have an audience with the Prime Minister. Michelle and Bobby (Jay Ryan) quickly agree with Pip’s plan.
Bobby says those men died without anyone knowing they still existed and that’s why he is going along with it. Pip tells Michelle she is glad to her support since everyone on the bus seems to fight her at every turn. They believe Bobby is going to give them the evils forever so Pip questions whether they should apologize. They agree to air their thoughts, but Michelle needs to do something first. She changes her air. They approach Bobby to say they want to open up a dialogue. Although Bobby says he is fine, Pip thinks he is bottling up his feelings. Bobby says he is fine before saying it is time for them to go over there.
Bobby tries to get Jaime (JJ Fong) to drink something, but she is despondent and won’t. Then, Bobby checks with Alex who is working on a new theory since the baby teeth one is toast. He says he is sorry about Jackson although Alex believes that is what he wanted. Bobby tells her how he wanted someone to trust and Jackson pretended to be his best mate. He thinks she’ll need a military grid map if she is going to make any sense of that because it looks like an MGRS code. It could be pointing to a location. Alex realizes they can get what they need from the government archives. Pip wakes everyone up when they reach the capital city.
When they try to enter the building, Michelle and Pip are stopped by a woman calling herself the executive receptionist. Pip says they have information that challenges everything they know about the pandemic. They’re given a prepaid postcard so they can write to the Prime Minister. Alternatively, they can start a petition or wait in one of the designated protest zones. They see two people protesting in the corner. Pip turns around and tells the receptionist that they’re committee members of the Hiro Valley Council. Pip is there to make a complaint about Wellness’s gross human rights violations and the existence of men. Carla Tui comes out and says she is the special counsel to the Prime Minister. She says the Prime Minister always has time for human rights.
Bobby tells Jaime that it might be a good idea for her to stay on the bus. When they see the cleaning company arrive, they prepare to move. Pip practices speaking to the Prime Minister. She hears a voice and thinks she is in there. They enter a side room and see a group of people boxing. Carla (Tatum Warren-Ngata) tells them it is a highly confidential cabinet meeting. The Prime Minister (Isabella Austin) is introduced to them before learning about their concerns. The PM gives them maintenance day support bunnies. Pip explains that they have proof Lane has been holding male survivors in a secret underground facility and forcibly extracting sperm from them for her own gains.
Seven of these men perished yesterday and Lane is accountable for their deaths. They try to show them Bobby. The Prime Minister is shocked to see a man. She gets Bobby a drink before checking him out. The PM asks if he has thought about his place in society. She questions if he has ever heard of the man with the golden arm named James Christopher Harrison. His blood had these antibodies that helped little babies with blood disease glow up. He made over a thousand donations and saved many. Bobby suspects she just wants a piece of him too. The PM says they can’t take a piece of him if he is the one baking the cake. Without a baker, they’re done as a species. Bobby asks why she is guilt-tripping him into this game.
The PM believes it is a win-win for him. Alex tries to find the military maps. She finds an envelope with files about the investigation into the rise of Wellness in regional New Zealand. Carla catches her looking at the files pertaining to Hiro Valley. Later, the Prime Minister says Carla has arranged a safe house for them in the new urban aeroponics shed. Bobby’s existence will remain confidential until their strategists have firmed up on comms. They claim they’re starting an inquiry into all Wellness activities in Hiro Valley. Alex mentions that the report said Wellness is a high-level concern. Clara suggests she is referring to a draft report. Alex alleges they let Wellness spread its crap all over this country.
Bobby says he’ll be the baker. He wants to go live to the nation so he can tell the full story. Bobby believes he needs to make it safe for everyone. He wants to expose Wellness during a press conference. Then, he will be the baker. Carla worries how the public will react if they find out that a man survived the virus, but the Prime Minister tells her to set up an emergency press conference. While they wait for the press conference, Pip wonders where Michelle has gone. The PM gives Bobby a button that Stu gave to her before he went on tour. She gives him an old gun too because it looks good. Michelle ends up walking on stage with Clara before the PM joins them. The Prime Minister tells everyone about Pip, Jaime, and Alex.
Jaime looks through the window and notices Doc Garvey (Rachel House) standing outside. After the PM tells everyone what has happened, she introduces Robert O’Connor. As Bobby approaches the stage, he hears a gunshot and the PM is hot. They accuse Bobby of shooting the PM. Jaime says they’ve been set up.
Creamerie Review
This episode of Creamerie was more serious than the others, but it was surprisingly effective. It was good to see Bobby and the others in a different light. The ending was slightly predictable although it was necessary to keep the story going a bit longer. Despite being a comedy, Creamerie can be somewhat emotional when it shows off its serious side.
The conversations with the Prime Minister and Bobby were great in this category and the performances were surprisingly good. The group has found themselves in a difficult situation now that they believe Bobby shot the Prime Minister so it’ll be interesting to see how the series ends.
Overall, this was an enjoyable episode of Creamerie. It scores a 6.5 out of 10. Recaps of Creamerie can be found on Reel Mockery here. Find out how to support our independent site at this link. Learn more about advertising on Reel Mockery here.
