As the second episode of Creamerie begins, Alex (Ally Xue), Jaime (JJ Fong), and Pip (Perlina Lau) drag the man into the barn and contemplate cutting his pants off. Jaime imagines the man is Jackson (Yoson An) while the others prepare to cut off his pants and save his life because his leg is badly bleeding. Pip tries to convince them to stop while suggesting they should hand him over to Wellness. Alex refuses because she doesn’t want them to make him disappear and perm them. Pip warns them they could get permed and lose a chunk of their frontal lobe for doing this. They eventually convince Pip to help, but she is little help after she faints. Once they’ve finished, they look through the peephole in the door and see a Wellness car arriving outside. Jaime soon remembers she is having her baby safe inspection today. She follows Pip outside and pleads with her not to tell them because they will suspend her place in the lottery.
Michelle (Kim Crossman) spots them before they go inside and talk about their dairy farm with 19 cows. Since one is on the verge of giving birth, Michelle doesn’t know whether she should put 19 or 19 and a half. They’re asked about Pip’s role in everything so Jaime says they love her and she will be a part of this. Michelle asks about her sister-in-law Alex who has been blissed for civil negativity. Jaime says they love and trust Alex like they love and trust Pip. Michelle asks about Alex’s whereabouts and they let it slip that she could be hiding in the shed. Michelle asks if they often have trouble keeping track of the people on their property that need supervision although they say no. Meanwhile, Alex looks through the hole before approaching the mystery man. She looks through the man’s belongings, steals a pocketknife, and finds an ID confirming the man’s name is Bobby (Jay Ryan).
She finds a newspaper article about her mother who is a biochemist. The man wakes up seconds later. Back inside, Pip asks Jaime if she should go check on the cows to make sure they’re not too aroused. The others say that isn’t a thing. They argue about who should go until Michelle asks if they should all go check on the cows. Back in the barn, Alex tries to stop Bobby from leaving because the women from Wellness will get him. As Michelle and the others walk toward the barn, Alex fights with Bobby. They get closer to the barn and hear them banging around inside. Just before they enter the barn, Alex manages to grab the electric cattle prod and subdue Boddy. As soon as they enter, Alex causes a scene that disturbs Michelle.
Michelle hugs Jaime and Pip while saying she can’t begin to realize how ashamed of her they must be. She tells them well done while Pip responds they do what they can. Before Michelle leaves, Pip tries to bum a ride to work with her. Michelle insists she can’t because it is a committee vehicle and that wouldn’t be allowed. As the vehicle drives away from the farm, Jaime thanks Pip who reminds her that she is going to owe her now. Alex agrees to keep an eye on Bobby while Jaime goes into town. Once Bobby wakes up, he finds himself tied up with Alex watching him. She knows they got off on the wrong foot although they shouldn’t dwell on the past. She shows him the picture of her mother and tries to find out why he has it and what he wants from her. He only says he wants to talk to her so Alex threatens to shock him again if he doesn’t tell her more.
He proves he isn’t afraid of her and instead frightens Alex. When Jaime goes to the clinic, she learns something is wrong and immediately calls Pip. She explains she didn’t make it to the next stage. They wonder if there was a mix-up in the files or something. Michelle takes a bite of her yogurt and spills it on the paperwork on her desk. Pip tells her that they’ll talk about it later tonight. Alex wakes Bobby and threatens to put self-releasing medication in his neck to get him to talk. She says she used to be a dental hygienist as Bobby begins moving in hopes of stopping her. Alex sees herself pleading with them not to do that to her. As a result, she smashes the pill.
Pip visits Lane as she meditates. She says her best friend was picked for the reproductive lottery but didn’t make it to the next stage. Pip doesn’t understand that because Jaime would make a great candidate. Lane listens as Pip theorizes that there might’ve been a mix-up or messed up paperwork. She promises she is not casting aspersions on Michelle despite Lane believing so. Lane says she loves her pants before agreeing to look into it. Alex tells Bobby the person in the newspaper picture is gone and they did worse to her than what she was going to do to him. They put a drill in her brain while claiming it was done for her own good. Bobby says she was the key so he’ll never know now. Alex asks if he was in quarantine. All the men in quarantine died making it odd that he would survive. Bobby says her mother wasn’t crazy, there are more survivors, and they’re being hunted.
Jaime visits the doctor to ask about her application being rejected. Pip visits Lane who confirms there was a clerical error that caused Jaime to be rejected. As for the doctor, she tells Jaime that she wasn’t responsible for rejecting her. Lane elaborates and says Jaime should’ve never been eligible for the lottery in the first place and she has been permanently canceled now thanks to Pip. At home, Jaime goes berserk as she prepares food until Alex enters and says they got them good because Bobby knows things. She believes Bobby’s information can help bring down Lane and Wellness. Then, Jaime enters the barn to speak to Bobby. She introduces herself before quickly asking for his sperm. She cleans a cup and gives it to him in hopes he’ll fill it for her. He watches nervously as Jaime begins dancing to get him aroused.
Before Pip enters, Jaime pulls up her shirt and shows Bobby a little more. Pip scolds Bobby while guiding Jaime out of the barn. Once they step outside, Jaime says she can’t do this anymore and will never get pregnant again. Pip believes she can fix it. She tells Jaime to go inside the house while he approaches Bobby in the barn. Moments later, Pip enters the house and sits the cup with Bobby’s juices on the table next to Jaime. She quickly thanks Pip who tells her to go do it before the stuff goes off. Meanwhile, Alex puts all the evidence she has on a wall. We see Hunter (Sara Wiseman) driving down the road while smoking a cigarette. She has CCTV pictures of Bobby and knows he is in the Hiro Valley.
Creamerie Review
The second episode of Creamerie was equally as good as the first although there is still room to improve. The story is coming together as Bobby revealed a few key pieces of the past. Pip and Jaime are likely going to create problems for the girls considering it would be a disaster for Jaime to get pregnant without permission of the Wellness group.
We also learned that someone is hunting Bobby and likely all male survivors. Can Alex put together the pieces and stop Lane before it is too late? The episode was silly but entertaining enough. It scores a 6.5 out of 10. More Creamerie episode recaps can be found on Reel Mockery here.
