Colin From Accounts Review

Against her better judgment, Ashley agrees to have dinner with her mum, Lynelle. She tries to prepare Gordon for her mum’s craziness and Lee’s creepiness. Gordon has no idea what he’s about to embark on.

Lynelle gifts Ashley an organic cleanse for her birthday. While Ashley’s hearing about Lee’s enlightening magic carpet dream, Gordon meets Lynelle’s Ugandan babies.

Lynelle embarrasses Ashley by showing Gordon her dance video. She praises Jacob Murray’s dancing skills while laughing at Ashley’s clumsiness. During dinner, Lynelle toasts Alejandro who died on Ashley’s birthday. The mere mention of his name makes Ashley upset.

Colin gives Ashley the escape she’s been looking for all night when he urinates on the floor. After she and Colin flee to the car, Gordon remains behind to try to get Lynelle to see her actions have consequences.

Many people can sympathize with Ashley. While Lynelle speaks lovingly when talking about the Ugandan children, she barely has anything positive to say about her own daughter. She seems to love Ashley but doesn’t know how to express it.

An exemplary representation of a dysfunctional mother-and-daughter relationship. The episode deserves a 6.8. Get more Colin From Accounts recaps here. Advertise your brand with Reel Mockery. Support our platform by clicking here.
