Hella is only interested in seeing the gold. Lucius listens as Aulus sends the group after Cait. Lucius doesn’t seem too happy with the plan. Hella buys a crossbow. Lucius confronts Aulus and ridicules him for speaking for the Emperor. Lucius reminds him that he blinded Sawyer out of his own will. Aulus seems convinced that a higher power caused Lucius to blind him. He asks Aulus who he is working for. Lucius finds Veran’s voodoo doll of sorts in his tent. Aulus pays him a visit. Lucius tells Aulus that everything is fine. Veran (Mackenzie Crook) works on a miniature noose.

Brutus tells them about the blind man. Hella kills some of the other assassins and goes after Cait. Britannia Review
What the heck just happened? Did Divis and Cait both just die? The show really took a leap of faith here. It turned Lindon into a spy and potentially killed off the story’s two heroes. There is a good chance that Divis and Cait are not dead. That would be too easy for Aulus. Either way, the episode was pretty effective in the fact that I am eager to watch the finale. I must admit that I haven’t really felt the urgency to watch the next episode after finishing an episode of Britannia. Perhaps it gets a little better with age?
If you can overlook the horrible humor, cheesy dialogue and the constant butthole jokes, Britannia isn’t too horrible. Of course, that is a big ask for any viewers. This episode was fairly decent. A 7.5 out of 10 is deserved. Catch up with previous recaps of Britannia now!
