Mrs. Wilson is a three-part drama series. It is set between 1940s and 1960s London, as well as 1930s India. The series actually tells the story of Ruth Wilson’s real-life grandmother, Alison Wilson. Alison believes that she is happily married. Her opinion changes completely after her husband, Alex, passes away and a woman claiming to be the real Mrs. Wilson turns up on her doorstep.
Alison goes on the hunt for evidence to validate her own marriage and her husband’s love for her. Instead, Alison discovers a world of haunting secrets. The drama was written by Anna Symon of Indian Summers fame. It is produced by Snowed-In Productions and co-produced by PBS Masterpiece. The series is set to air on BBC One on November the 27th at 9 PM.
It will air on PBS Masterpiece as well. The show stars Ruth Wilson, Keeley Hawes, Fiona Shaw and Iain Glen. Ruth Wilson is best known for playing Alison Bailey in Showtime’s The Affair. Keeley Hawes most recently starred in BBC’s Bodyguard alongside Richard Madden.
