A Town Called Malice Finale Review

Mayor Cabrol foils Albert’s plans to host a groundbreaking for his new hotel. He orders Len to convince Cabrol to stick with their original deal or face the consequences. Len gets as far as pulling a knife on him before returning to the villa.

Lindsey is taking Cindy to the airport when her car breaks down. Cindy overpowers her and flees but doesn’t get too far before they meet up again. Lindsey offers her a 5-year plea deal, free in two years, for the murder of DI Russo. When she confesses everything to Gene, he decides to push his plans without her.

Kelly tells Albert that he accidentally killed Manuela. Mint Ma intervenes when Albert wants him to utilize his confession to advance his hotel.

Carly knows about Len’s male affairs. She stays with him because their best friends. Knowing he likes Cabrol, she asks him for another baby.

Mint Ma plants Manuela’s necklace in Metin and Luuk’s vehicle. Alfonso arrests them. Diego and his family honor Manuela.

Len and Kelly agree to join forces with Gene if he can prove Albert told the police about their drug cargo. They stage a meeting between Albert and Suarez. When Albert arrives, they are waiting on him. Albert confesses. Gene threatens to tell the Moroccans if he doesn’t step back from the deal. Albert refuses to comply. After a bit of back-and-forth altercations, Cindy shoots Albert in the head.

Cindy decides to stay in Spain with Gene and Eddie. Gene kills Lindsey. Mint Ma buys Kelly a ticket back to Bermondsey.

The finale leaves a lot to be desired. If the goal is a series two, killing off Jason Flemyng wasn’t the answer. Mint Ma is more of a supporting role than a leading role. It’s questionable if Gene will even come close to filling his shoes.

Cindy kills Uncle Tony, Anthony, and Albert and Len barely escapes death by her hands. Gene is a very forgiving soul. Who’s next, Mint Ma, Kelly, or Carly? Gene who believes there better options than murder kills Lindsey in cold blood to protect Cindy. How the tables have turned!

It’s questionable why the writer chose to set up Metin and Luuk for Manuela’s murder. They were with Tariq and Gene up until they started transporting the drugs to their planned destination. They got caught at the checkpoint but fled before the police found them.

The finale deserves a 6.2. Get more A Town Called Malice recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by clicking the link. Our onsite advertising builds online brand awareness.
