As the episode begins, Cain prepares food for Madison (Isabella Martin). He also puts an ointment of sorts on her leg. It seems that Madison’s leg is healing rapidly. Something in the distance scares Cain. He puts Madison on his back and makes a run for it. After the intro, the couple prepares to have fish for dinner.
During their conversation, Madison admits that she isn’t a part of a group. She explains that she is only with Russell (Pete Walters) and Hiroshi (Nobuaki Shimamoto). She admits that she doesn’t know who to trust. Cain has a revelation of his own. He explains that he saw the body of the sentinel. Cain’s eye turns blue too. They begin making out and taking off of their clothes. Madison stops Cain midway through. Then, Madison has a flashback. She recalls Russell pushing her hard and trying to toughen her up.
He tells her that her power comes from her heart and she needs to realize it. Later that night, Madison begins spying on Cain. He is overheard chatting with someone. Madison follows him. He meets with a woman, Jen (Rebecca Montalti). Cain tells Jen all about Madison. She is pleased with his work. Jen uses her radio to get in touch with someone else. Before too long, Ben and two mercenaries arrive. They’re there for Madison.
Ben (Jerry Retford) makes it clear that Cain is his. The mercenaries try to get Madison. She manages to overwhelm them. Then, Cain grabs her by the throat and holds her against a tree. She knocks him to the ground and tells him to stay away from her. Madison goes after Ben. She manages to catch him in his vehicle. The vehicle stops and Madison gets into the backseat. She asks Ben where her mother is, as the episode comes to an end.
Abandoned Review
This episode of Abandoned was really good. It was clear from early on that Cain was too good to be true. As it turns out, he was trying to help Ben capture or kill Madison. Madison learned just in time and managed to overpower her enemies. In the end, it was Ben who was cornered. The ending was great. It was also nice to see that Abandoned will be returning for a second season. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
This episode scores a solid 8 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Abandoned right now!
