Ethical Porn – As the episode opens, Ashley (Harriet Dyer) is putting her hair into a ponytail while Gordon (Patrick Brammall) shops online. She gives Colin (Zak, Buster) a bit of love before reminding Gordon of their impending dinner with Meggles. She admits to stalking Meggles/Megan’s (Emma Harvie) new girlfriend on social media. He asks if it is possible to cancel but she says no. She invites him to join her for coffee before work. He tells her that he is going to sleep in. Upon leaving, Ashley puts in her Air Pods which just happens to be synced with Gordon’s laptop, to hear a female voice moaning in ecstasy. She barges back into the bedroom and claims to have forgotten her hat. Gordon slams his laptop shut. She asks if he was masturbating. He says no and blames it on the neighbors before confessing. She claims to be totally fine with him masturbating but James never did it. He assures her that James (Tai Hara) lied. After she leaves, he tells Colin that she is not okay with it.

James takes Megan’s side. Megan curses her. Ashley professes to love her. Megan professes to love her before leaving. Ashley asks James if he masturbated. James’ response is cut short when Gene (Glenn Hazeldine) requests a Foley catheter for Mr. Robson (Kenny Graham). James claims to masturbate to his exes.

Over dinner, Jared (Broden Kelly) explains how he landed at Lion Australia. He tells Gordon that they are interested in acquiring his brewery. At the hospital, Ashley preps Mr. Robson for a catheter. Megan forces Ashley to promise to be nice to Rumi. Mary Robson (Frances Kendall) barges in and asks what they are doing. Ashley tells her that she is pulling back the foreskin for the catheter insertion. Mary points out that her husband is circumcised. Mr. Robson asks Mary to go away and announces it is his birthday.

Jared admits to causing Gordon to lose his JetRex contract but denies backing him into a corner. Gordon accuses him of monopolizing the Australian craft beer market. A short time later, they are at Crazy Girls, a gentleman’s club. A stripper, Crystal (Tammy Hearder) bends over in front of them. At the hospital, Ashley tells Megan that James claims to masturbate to his exes. Megan reminds her that she doesn’t like Gordon masturbating. Ashley says it is cool if she is featured in it. Gene informs Ashley that Mary filed a complaint against her. At Crazy Girls, Jared stuffs cash into Crystal’s underwear.

She asks him to take it back. Outside Crazy Girls, Jared invites Gordon to accompany him to the driving range. Gordon begins to question his proposal. Jared calls him a “cockhead” for ordering a $200 bottle of alcohol at his expense. He vows to shutter Gordon’s brewery within the next year. The verbal disagreement turns physical.

Gordon soaks in a garbage can filled with ice water. Ashley scolds him for being intoxicated. He tells her that Jared took him to a “dank” Crazy Girls. Brett (Michael Logo) chimes in to defend Gordon. He tosses the soggy trash on the ground. She says there is a rat in the trash can. Unable to get the rat, Gordon tilts the garbage can over and falls on the ground. Brett assures her that he is okay.

 

Shwa – Gordon and Ashley meet Megan and Rumi for dinner. Gordon takes Rumi’s hat. Rumi tells them that the restaurant was formerly a post office and her grandmother, the postmistress lived upstairs. The waiter (Caspar Hardaker) delivers menus to their table. When Rumi learns the waiter has her hat, she leaves to retrieve it and return it to Gordon. A short time later, she shares her South American Ayahuasca experience with them. Gordon tells them about his friend’s ketamine therapy. Rumi and Megan call each other “baby” and kiss. Rumi professes to love her. Frustrated with Rumi’s constant rambling, Gordon tells her to shut up. Rumi calls him a “little boy.” The disagreement eventually switches to Ashley’s disapproval of Gordon masturbating. Rumi admits to watching “Ethical Porn.” While Ashley leaves to pay the tab, Rumi gets irate when Gordon puts on her hat. He apologizes to Megan before she and Rumi leave.

While walking home, Ashley apologizes for telling Megan. Gordon apologizes and says she has to talk to someone. He assures her that masturbation is not important. She admits feeling rejected and says she would never choose it over being with him. She tells him about Mr. Robson.

 

Colin From Accounts Review

The series has gone downhill quickly. The writing is weak and the jokes are flat and stale. It was at its strongest when the focus was on Colin. It has become more about advertising and less about the plot. The cinematography and acting are its strongest attributes. Stereotypical tripe like the majority of modern films and TV shows. The episode deserves a 4 out of 10.
