Left With The Nose – The episode opens with Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) speaking with Warwick Group representative, Wendy (Sandrine Holt) about getting Deverin “Bunny” Washington (Tobi Bamtefa) released from Anchor Bay. She asks what’s in it for her. He says him owning her a favor. She agrees to do it.
Raphael (D Smoke) assures Dedrick (Marcus Brandon) and Big Hush (Jock McKissic) that Bunny’s still running things from the hole. Dedrick says Gunner (Dylan Kenin) having the guards gives him control of everything. Raphael tells him that they’re going to take their stuff back even with Bunny in the hole. He warns that something is about to go down when they come under attack. Raphael is stabbed before Big Hush smashes the inmate’s head into the table.
Captain Kareem Moore (Michael Beach) calls Mike to inform him that Bunny should be released later today. Mike demands Bunny be placed in general population. Kareem says Luis (Reinaldo Faberlle) would probably disagree. Mike assures him the Aryan Brotherhood, not Bunny, is responsible for Luis being burned alive. Kareem claims his hands are tied until he finds who’s pulling the strings. Mike requests a visit to
Tracy McLusky (Nishi Munshi) watches Kyle McLusky (Taylor Handley) with concern as he assembles metal sheds.
Don’s Diner – While waiting on Robert (Hamish Allan-Headley), Mike receives a text from Kareen to inform him of a 9am visit with Bunny. Robert warns Ian (Hugh Dillon) and Mike that he received a “heart attack letter.” He says the DA recommended hiring an attorney when Kyle joins them. Mike suggests someone rolled but Robert refuses to believe it. Kyle assures him that it was self-defense. Mike says the DA probably offered one of the guys a sweet deal.
While Mike is on the phone with Rebecca, Kyle retrieves a bag from his truck. He informs Mike of his trading Molly Hatchet tickets for five minutes in lock-up to retrieve the bonds.
Mike scolds Kyle for retrieving the bonds without first notifying him or Stevie (Derek Webster). He reminds him of the surveillance camera. Kyle claims to have wiped the drives before asking if he’ll be a good dad. Mike assures him that he’ll be a great dad.
Mike orders Anchor Bay prison guard, Davison (Matt Gerald) to ease up on Bunny. Davidson says it can’t happen. Mike tells him that he’s interfering with what’s going on over there. Davidson gets in his face. Mike warns that it will go down with or without him. When Davidson shoves Mike, Kyle busts through the door and pistol-whips him. Mike demands he leave Bunny alone. Kyle threatens to return if he doesn’t listen. Davidson admits to believing Mike’s one of them. Mike says he was wrong. Kyle hits him again before they leave.
Kyle assures Mariam McLusky (Dianne Wiest) that he’s okay.
Carney (Lane Garrison) opens Bunny’s cell. As they walk down the hall, Bunny warns that he’s going to take control of the prison. Mike is waiting when they enter the dog kennel room. He suggests their plan is working because there haven’t been any mass murders. When Bunny accuses him of screwing him over, Mike says burning Luis alive isn’t staying quiet. Bunny says there is no such thing inside. Mike assures him that he’ll be out shortly. Bunny claims to have moved a hit that was aimed at him. Mike asks who’s wearing it but Bunny refuses to answer.
Kingstown Juvenile Detention Center – Mariam meets Jacob (Jake Schur) per his request. Jacob says he got a deal that requires him to stay out of trouble for a year or his sentence goes eight and state. He tells her that the white gang is offering him protection. He asks if Mike was with the Aryan Brotherhood when he was inside. She tells him that Mike did what was necessary to survive. He asks her to see if Mike could get him moved to a different prison. She agrees to speak to Mike.
Assistant D.A. Evelyn Foley (Necar Zadegan) is at a restaurant with D.A. Lockett (Lawrence Adimora) when Mike approaches. Mike says the deal he made with his people got him a lot of publicity, now it’s time to sign Bunny’s release papers. Mike tells him that a friend at Warwick informed him of a negotiation taking place within the city and the upcoming reelection. Lockett assures him that his friends at Warwick have more to lose by going again him than to gain by supporting him. Mike warns that Milo Sunter (Aidan Gillen) could be walking free in Kingstown and there is no DNA validating his death. He offers bait for Bunny’s release. Lockett denies any knowledge of it. Mike says if Evelyn knows, the voters will believe he does as well.
Carney informs Kareem of the inmate’s death. Kareem asks if it’s possible to sweep it under the run. Carney suggests writing it up as mutual combat between inmates because there were no witnesses. Kareem agrees to take care of it.
Bunny and Raphael are making license plates when Gunner approaches. Gunner denies giving the green light for the recent attack. He orders the inmate’s hands chopped off.
Mike is with Digo (Phil rice) when he receives a call from the prison. Bunny informs him of the path being cleared. Lockett walks toward his vehicle when a silver van approaches. The driver shoots him multiple times. Bunny demands Mike get Lockett to sign his release papers as the episode comes to an end.
Mayor Of Kingstown Review
As much as I would love to see Kingstown get a good ending, a third season may do more harm than good. Much of what happened in the first season was carried over to the second season, then completely dropped.
The story was built around Milo but it seems, the writer forgot to include him in the most important episode of the season.

I don’t think this was the season finale. According to the listing there is an episode 7 due for release on Feb 26.
If true that sheds a different light on episode 6, which we would view as the penultimate episode. As a penultimate episode it sets up a finale to wrap all this up.
Anyway… it was a lackluster episode. The episodes are too short (43 min runtime) . Once the viewer finally gets settled in to really pay attention and sincerely try to immerse themselves, it abruptly ends. Case in point… they waste valuable time showing Kyle putting sheds together and whining about how crummy his life is, then when the action starts either in the prison on in the hood it is over before it really gets started.
I would look for a finale with a lot of loose ends. I don’t see how they resolve Bunny, Kyle, Milo, Iris all in one 43 min episode.
Surprisingly, IMDB says there are two more episodes! I must’ve been asleep at the wheel on that one lol. A lot of Sheridan’s shows have very short episodes like this especially Tulsa King which had one that was like 30 minutes or less.
With that being said, they’ll have a lot to cover in the next two episodes if there are in fact two. I bet they’ll leave cliffhangers for a 3rd season that probably won’t be possible at least not anytime soon because of Renner’s accident. This is probably one of those shows that should be watched in one sitting like Tulsa King because the runtimes as so short.
I go by whatever “Beautiful Soup” dishes out when I run the search in the Kodi add on. Mine is set up to show unaired titles in red along with air dates. It’s showing only one more episode. I wonder if it may be a 1.5 hour finale … I guess we’ll see. Same with 1923… it’s showing only one episode left but there is a lot left to resolve on that show as well. At least I hope that its true that there is only one episode left because I cannot take much more of either show.
Maybe if I actually paid for Paramount or Paramount Plus I’d know for sure. 😆
lol! What would be the fun in that though? I read something the other day that most families have like 5 streaming services. Most cut the cable to switch to streaming and they’re probably pay just as much if not more now. Besides what I watch online, I just use an old over-the-air antenna and usually stick with MeTv and watch the oldies.
I primarily use IMDB though because it almost always has the cast and actor/actress names although there are some exceptions. Wikipedia says 8 too. Strange I don’t remember season one having 10 episodes but it supposedly did.
