Mayor Of Kingstown Review

Nothing to recap here. The episode was a major disappointment. It seems they are setting something up for the finale which will probably be a dud. A disappointing season for sure. The episode deserves a 5. Get more Mayor of Kingstown recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by clicking the link. Learn more about our onsite advertising.

  1. James Luther says:

It was so dull I forgot what happened and had to read the entire recap only two days after actually watching the entire episode on TV.

Gunner had the Mexican gandlord killed. All that does is trigger a war inside the prison. There was no good reason for this revealed nor will there probably ever be. It’s a McGuffin out of left field and inconsistent with the story.

Mike just calls people to commit felonies and they all just do it. Hide evidence? No problem Mike. Smuggle a cell phone to a prisoner? No problem Mike. Erase CCTV footage? No problem Mike. Get drugs to Bunny so he can make money on the inside? No problem Mike… We got your six.

And does Mike ever get compensation? He’s running all over, trying to orchestrate this big complicated plot to align the gangs inside so violence with not spill to the outside. And all for free.

It’s really dragging on at the current pace. Unfortunately this all will only just lead to another prison uprising in the form of the gangs trying to kill each other off. Somehow Bunny will be the onlyone left standing and gets released. That’s the big climax we all are waiting for.

Also Iris probably kills Milo. Joseph will be the big bad in any subsequent series with or without Jeremy Renner.

At this rate, it is hard to imagine another series would even be approved. It is getting fun to watch Kingstown just to see what ludicrous crap they’ll come up with next. It could be a drinking game.

On a serious note, I think Taylor Sheridan might have too much going on. 2 more productions in the works, Tulsa King, Kingston, and so on. At some point, the quality will drop to the point that people will stop watching and the renewals won’t come so easily. Seems to be working for Paramount+ now and obviously Sheridan is benefiting. He might as well ride it all the way to the bank until the wheels fall off.
