BritBox UK has revealed a handful of images from its upcoming original thriller Crime which is being adapted from the best-selling novel by Irvine Welsh. The new series is set to wrap up production in Glasgow and Edinburgh this month. Crime is directed by James Strong and David Blair. The story will span over six episodes and stars Dougray Scott as Detective Inspector Ryan Lennox.
Lennox is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a schoolgirl while battling personal demons. Joanna Vanderham stars as DS Amanda Drummond, Ken Stott as Chief Superintendent Bob Toal, Jamie Sives as Detective Inspector Dougie Gillman, and Angela Griffin as Trudi Lowe.
The series is produced by David Blair for Buccaneer Media and Off Grid Film and TV. Irvine Welsh has adapted his best-selling novel for television alongside Dean Cavanagh. Crime is expected to be available in Autumn or Winter of 2021 exclusively on BritBox UK.
