Ben Wheatley is set to direct a brand-new film for Netflix. “Rebecca” will be produced by Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan, and Nira Park. The screenplay has been written by Jane Goldman. Production is expected to start next week in the United Kingdom and France.

Casting has been finished. Keeley Hawes of Bodyguard fame and Emmy Award Winner Ann Dowd are set to join the cast. It will also include Sam Riley, Ben Crompton, Lily James, Armie Hammer, and Kristin Scott Thomas. Rebecca follows the story of a newly-married woman.

After arriving at her husband’s family estate, she finds herself battling the shadow of his former wife, Rebecca. The woman’s legacy continues to haunt the house. Additional details can be found here.
