Collins Avenue Productions, which is a member of KEW Media Group Inc (TSX: KEW and KEW.WT) announced the return of Dance Moms on the Lifetime Network in the United States. Dance Moms is one of the largest single production contracts for KEW. The show follows the lives of young dancers and their mothers as they prepare to take part in Abby Lee Miller’s Ultimate Dance Competition.
Studio owner Abby Lee Miller completed a prison sentence last year. She was also diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Season 8 will kick off with a one-hour special dedicated to Miller and her journey towards rebuilding her dance company for a new generation of dancers. Collins Avenue has produced more than 200 hours of Dance Moms, which has broken Lifetime’s rating records.
