Rani and Christian walk around the neighborhood, looking for drug runner prospects. As he starts to approach to boys, she suggests letting her do it to ensure they don’t feel threatened. She starts by asking Tyler (Elliot Courtiour) and another boy (Charlie Hammond) where they’ll be in five years. Tyler jokingly says in her “vagina”. She calls him a “disgusting young man.” Christian offers the boy a fiver for each new runner they take on over the next hour.

Their attention is drawn to Gabby screaming at the workers in hard hats. Gabby informs them of the council’s decision to sell the Community Center to a company that plans to demolish it. None of the others are on board with her idea to hold a demonstration there tomorrow. John tells her that they aren’t the “Goonies.” Diane tells her the police need a 24-hour notice for a public demonstration. Gabby expresses her disappointment in them before rushing away.
Tyler robs Spencer when he is supposed to be delivering drugs.
Myrna walks in as Gabby discusses her plan to save the Community Center with Claire (Lois Chimimba). Greg tells them the 2012 Localism Act allows groups to declare a building an “asset of community value,” so they can acquire it later. Myrna questions what their foundation would do with the building. Claire provides her with a list of suggestions. Gabby informs her of Greg’s fundraising suggestion. When Myrna reminds them of the 24-hour demonstration notice requirement, Claire asks when she started caring about what the police do. She asks if they gave some thought to a “privileged white woman” fronting a “black civil rights” group. Claire points out Gabby would be a celebrity supporter. A majority vote overrules Myrna.

She issues an alert of a bald child missing its mum.

When he tells her that he “hit a glass ceiling,” she explains how the term generally refers to job prejudice among minorities and women. He assures her that anyone can be impacted by prejudice. After pleading for an opportunity, he doesn’t get a job offer. He goes on a rant before leaving.

John pleads with John Halloran Senior to let him return to work. John Senior tells him begging makes him look undignified. He refuses to take him back.
Diane is still high from her laced brownie. Mansfield is hard at work interviewing Abigail Knightly about Gabby’s social media video. Myrna asks Gabby and Claire why they are hiding from the media. Claire assures her that they are only working on a strategic response. Gabby makes a public apology before resigning from her position. Myrna interrupts to tell the public that she refuses Gabby’s resignation. She says this is “fake news.” She assures the public that Gabby is not a white supremacist.

The Outlaws Review
While the jokes are not always “ha-ha” funny, the wittiness makes up for it. It is unfortunate that the jokes about political jokes fell short. They didn’t even try to be clever, wrote them in, just because. The show could be a great escape from all the politics, but no, it slaps you right across the face.
The comedy is gradually eroding as the show is leaning more toward drama. The various targeted social issues don’t always belong in a comedy. It is like they suddenly ditched the initial strategy to take an entirely different route. Some viewers may not be thrilled by the move.
Haines had to scrap her plan to turn Tyler into an informant. She was saved by DC Lane’s text promoting the sale of expensive coffee. After brief surveillance, Haines and Selforth, now have a new suspect. Will The Outlaws evade the feds once again or join Malaki in prison?
