Madre – The episode opens with CCTV cameras following Filomena “Filo” Curtis (Natasha Duran) as she walks to a house where Hippolyta (Tara Hoyos-Martinez) is sleeping. She collects some of Fiomena’s hair and leaves. She gets a short distance before several people apprehend and inject her with a drug. Hippolyta goes quiet.

Madre – Adrian (Miquel Garcia Borda) has been fishing when he discovers Filo’s body floating in the water. Later at the crime scene, Roberto (Alex Hafner) suggests she has been in the water for at least nine hours. Detective Max Winter (Julian Looman) holds up his phone for Detective Miranda Blake (Elen Rhys), who is on vacation, to look at the body. Frustrated with the poor view, she threatens to visit the crime scene. Max pretends his phone has a low battery before he switches it off. She knows he is lying. Max convinces Roberto to not answer his phone. Adrian claims the women refuse to let men on the island of Dragonera. Max insists he takes him. Upon arrival, an arrow lands near Max’s foot. Hippolyta (Tara Hoyos-Martez) refuses to let him access the island. Holding up his badge, he says it is a crime to shoot at a police officer before telling her about the woman’s body. She races off to alert Mother, Diana (Leonor Watling). Women retrieve the supplies. Hippolyta returns with Diana. Max shows her a photo of the body. Diana says she is a “troubled” guest, Filo. She claims their female guests oftentimes have problems that even she cannot help them. She agrees to have Adrian transport Filo’s belongings to the police.

Trying to avoid Ines Villegas (Maria Fernandez Ache), Miranda slips into the police station. She tells Max that a Victima actress, Conchita Martinez acquired the island 20 years ago and built a retreat there for women. Looking at Conchita’s photo, Max recognizes her as the woman claiming to be Diana. There is no Filomena Curtis in their database. Anna Harris drowned in the same channel. Ines scolds Miranda for coming into the police station and threatens to make her vacation permanent if she doesn’t stay away. Detective Mancuso (David Mora) needs assistance with an escaped inmate, Aled Mallory’s (Charlie Higson) case. Max suggests putting an intern on the case but she refuses but Ines refuses to budge. A short time later, Max complains to Amanda about being removed from Filo’s case. Adrian transports Miranda to Dragonera where she is greeted by Hippolyta. Miranda, Phoebe (Sydney Sante), and several other guests are escorted to the resort. Diana explains her philosophy and warns Miranda against lying to her.

Max verifies the address for Serrat Associates. Back at Dragonera, Antiope (Amanda Lindblom) escorts Miranda to supper. The women are called Daughters of Eve. Over dinner, Miranda tries to strike up a conversation about Filo. Hippolyta says anything said in Sanctum, stays in Sanctum where they take the Journey. Diana watches them while she eats. Hippolyta insists Filo wouldn’t take her own life. The next day, Phoebe tells Miranda that she is a Dragonera donor. Miranda slips away to a room where she finds a drawer full of cash and Filo’s file. Hearing footsteps, she leaves the room and encounters Diana. Miranda claims to have gotten lost on her way to the restrooms. Diana says she will take the Journey tonight. After the session ends, Miranda finds a remote location to alert Max. She gives him Filo’s address in Sant Elm. Max arrives at the address to find the door unlocked. Enrique Mas (Andreas Munoz) knocks him out. When he comes to, Enrique grills him with questions when Mancuso bursts through the door with his gun raised.

Phoebe enters the sacred pool and emerges as Alexa. The Daughters of Eve cheer. In Sant Elm, Max and Mancuso learn Enrique is the editor of Hidden Agendas, a podcast. Mancuso asks how is Enrique connected to the Grec case. Enrique wants to know more about Grec. Once alone, Mancuso admits to following him. When Max tells him about Miranda and Filo, Mancuso agrees to help them with the case. On the island, Diana gives Miranda a homemade tea. Miranda reluctantly drinks it. Back in Sant Elm, Max scares Enrique into talking about Filo who was his roommate but he rarely saw her. Back on the island, a drugged Miranda hallucinates about her father crying for her. Diana says Miranda pushes people away to protect her heart. Back in Sant Elm, Mancuso and Max discover a Mallorca Times about a missing British girl, Anna Harris, and a DNA kit in Filo’s room. Filomena Harris and Anna were sisters. Back on the island, Miranda tells Diana that she came to the resort to learn more about Filo. She says Diana is in the police computer but not Filo.

Filo was investigating Anna’s disappearance. Mancuso opens a locket to find a lock of Anna’s hair. Roberto tells them that Filo drowned in fresh water, not ocean water. Max says the resort on the island has a pool. They fear for Miranda’s safety. On the island, the guests are confined to their rooms. Miranda is injected with a drug. Mancuso and Max arrive on the island. They see Hippolyta and Diana with Miranda’s limp body when an arrow lands near them. Armed, Mancuso orders Antiope to drop her bow. Hippolyta puts Miranda in the pool. She gradually sinks to the bottom. Max dives into the pool and rescues her. Mancuso orders Diana and Hippolyta to not move. Frantic, Max announces she is not breathing. Mancuso starts CPR while Max keeps his gun trained on Diana and Hippolyta. Miranda coughs up water and gasps for air.

Diana and her employees and guests are removed from the island. Diana is arrested. Filo knew Hippolyta was Anna but she needed DNA to prove it. Diana and Hippolyta drowned Filo in the sacred pool. Miranda accuses Diana of abducting Anna and brainwashing her. Diana believed Anna was her destiny. Max tells Miranda that the homemade cocktail contained a psilocybin-like compound. She claims the experience made her realize that she needs to love herself more.

Mancuso offers Miranda a job in Barcelona. Max remembers Enrique who is still restrained to a chair in his flat. The episode ends.
