The episode begins with Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) speaking to Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) about taking back everything that has been taken from them. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) meets Iris West (Candice Patton) and attempts to convince her that they’ll be able to find Eddie. After a message from Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Barry returns to the lab and joins Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and crew. Cisco talks about Harrison’s electric scooter, before showing them a power generator under the wheelchair, which Wells potentially used to gain more speed.
The computer clicks on and alerts the group that the accelerator has been rebuilt and turned on. Barry insists Wells must be inside Star Labs somewhere, before they begin hunting. Wells makes himself visible, while the rest of the meta humans are released. Peek-a-Boo (Britne Oldford) escapes and nearly kills Caitlin, but Iris stops her. On the streets, the Reverse Flash is able to escape Barry’s grasp. Back at the lab, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cisco find Eddie. Iris looks around and finds the wedding ring.
Barry returns to the group and apologizes to Eddie for not being able to find him. Eddie reveals Harrison’s true identity and confirms they’re family. The accelerator triggers on again and Cisco finds the tube that Harrison was working on. Caitlin and Cisco speaks about the captives and insist they have to release them. Barry suggests sending them to Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) island prison. Joe insists the idea is insane, before he is shown at the police station speaking to Cecille (Danielle Nicolet).
Joe asks her about moving the meta humans to the island and asks for support. She insists human smuggling is illegal and refuses to get involved. Barry tells Joe about an airplane that they’ll be able to use for the transportation. Meanwhile, Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) is shown getting a drink at the Saints and Sinners bar. Barry enters and insists they need to talk. Leonard eventually agrees to help, but he wants something in return. Eddie heads back to work and is confronted by Iris, who questions him about the wedding ring.
Eddie confirms he was going to purpose, but Wells showing him the future changed his mind. He tells her that she marries Barry. At the lab, Joe ridicules Barry about his decision to speak to Leonard. Leonard interrupts and insists he wants all of his records destroyed. Barry agrees, but Joe doesn’t. They argue in private. Barry insists Wells turned them into meta humans and he must save them, before he is shown entering the police station and deleting Leonard’s files. Lisa Snart (Peyton List) enters an destroys a box containing Leonard’s files, before they all agree to become partners.
The group join forces, argues and Lisa speaks to Cisco about their kiss. Afterwards, Cisco shows them a big rig, which will be used for the transportation. All of the meta humans are knocked out and transported to the rig, before The Flash clears the streets. Mark Mardon (Liam McIntyre) comes to his senses inside of the big rig. He chats with the others and learns that his power is useless. Mark immediately picks a fight with Kyle Nimbus (Anthony Carrigan). The big rig arrives at the hangar, before the fighting can start.
Inside the cab, Lisa convinces Cisco to give her a codename. He calls her the Golden Glider. Instantly, the meta humans regain their powers and the plane is brought down by lightning. Chaos ensues, as the big rig opens and the meta humans escape. Caitlin seems to transform and attack Cisco. The Flash is dropped, but Leonard and Lisa save him. The Snart pair set everyone free. Leonard speaks to Barry and confirms he sabotaged the truck, so the others would owe him. The Snarts make their escape, as Cisco checks on Barry.
At the lab, Joe checks on Barry. He insists he was attempting to follow Oliver’s lead, but wound up getting used. Joe convinces Barry to no longer work with evil. The particle accelerator begins working and alerts everyone. At the police station, Iris attempts to get Eddie to come to his senses. Eddie insists it isn’t about the future. He suggests Barry was always a part of their relationship. He tells Iris to let their relationship end, if she really loves him and she agrees to do so. At the lab, the group watches Wells arrive at the lab and Barry confronts him outside.
Wells tells Barry to look back and realize that he only did what he had to do. He tells Barry to go inside, so he can show him what the accelerator is about. Arrow and Firestorm (Robbie Amell) arrive to back up Barry. The Reverse Flash is eventually brought down.
Review
The episode was a good lead in to the finale and a second season, since all of the meta humans were able to escape thanks to Leonard Snart. It was also fun to see The Flash team up with Arrow and Firestorm to finally stop Wells. However, it leaves a major question mark on the finale. Either way, it was a good episode and deserves a 7.5 out of 10.
