The Day Of The Jackal Review
The fourth episode of The Day Of The Jackal continued the overall deterioration of the series. It wasn’t great to begin with, but the excessive runtime is becoming an even bigger problem and the characters are becoming easier to hate. At this point, it’s hard to like any of the characters because they’re all written so badly.
Even the Jackal is an idiot when he should be a skilled, meticulous assassin. Instead, he’s constantly taking reckless actions and nearly getting himself caught. At this rate, someone already would’ve put a bullet in his head and spared viewers from the headache of six more episodes.
Bianca is equally unlikable because she’s written unevenly. At times, she has all the answers and asks all the questions. On the other, she’s also rude and constantly messing things up as well. The series is a mess with the need to regularly jump from one country to another on a whim and new episodes added by the minute.
Lots of the personal dramas should’ve been eliminated to shorten this down and make it a lot more tolerable. Nuria doesn’t really add anything to the story besides being another annoyance and turning the Jackal into a pansy. The series is also very predictable. It’d take someone with a very low IQ not to see how everything was going to play out with Larry and Alison.
Despite the potential here, there isn’t much to like about The Day Of The Jackal. It’ll take a lot of patience and acceptance to reach the end of this series since the quality has dropped from episode to episode. This one scores a 3.5 out of 10.
