A short time later, Cal informs Maggie of Pete’s decision to leave when an exited Lola arrives with Ellis. Everyone chips in to prepare for the birth. Edna contacts Connie to request an ambulance. After washing her hands, Maggie checks Ellis’ cervix to find it fully dilated. Ellis pushes several times before the baby’s head appears. Maggie says stop pushing because the umbilical cord is wrapped around the baby’s neck. She enlists Cal’s help. With the umbilical cord out of the baby, Ellis gives several more pushes and her son is born. Maggie watches Cal clean the baby and hand him to Ellis.
