Shoresy Season 4 Episode 3 Recap

The Itch – The episode begins by showing Dolo (Jonathan-Ismael Diaby), Ted ‘Hitch’ Hitchcock (Terry Ryan), and Brant ‘Goody’ Goodleaf (Andrew Antsanen) hooking up with the Blueberry Buddies’ moms.

Elsewhere at minor league hockey, Cory (Bourke Cazabon) and Liam (Keegan Long) tease Shoresy (Jared Keeso) about the Blueberry Buddies. Shoresy fires back at them with his typical ‘mother antics.’ This goes on for several minutes until Shoresy finds himself in Nat’s (Tasya Teles) office arguing with her, Miigwan (Keilani Elizabeth Rose), and Ziigawan (Blair Lamora) about the Bulldogs sleeping with the Blueberry Buddies’ mothers. This soon segues into a discussion about what the Blueberry Buddies wore to the Toxic Masculinity Seminar.

Seconds later, Shoresy is in the locker room learning that the Blueberry Buddies wore a Faker shirt to their seminar because one of the teammates faked a mental illness to get out of conditioning skating so that he could go tubing with his girlfriend. To make matters even worse, the boys admit to citing mental health problems themselves to get out of several other activities.

Shortly after this, Miigwan and Ziigwan are telling Nat about the Bulldog’s continuous partying. Nat does not handle this so well and orders them to make sure that none of the Bulldogs’ antics get out to the public. Meanwhile, the Jims (Jon Mirasty/Brandon Noalan/Jordan Nolan) blab about the Bulldogs banging the Blueberry Buddies’ mothers.

Jory Jordan (Maclean Fish) shows up at Shoresy’s house all bent out of shape because he has yet to see the BROdude set. Shoresy takes him to the set where he meets Emma (Vanessa Matsui) and worms his way onto the show. This doesn’t start so well and only gets worse when Shoresy learns that Anik Archambault (Kim Cloutier) wants him to talk about clothes. Jory later tries to discuss the show with Shoresy over beers but he has the attitude that he doesn’t much care about any of it.

The Blueberry Buddies arrive at the rink in a bit of a depressed mood because they have to skate on such a beautiful day. At the same time, Shoresy and Nat’s discussion about the Buddies turns into a discussion about BROdude not quite scratching the itch for him. Nat tells him that’s why he should coach, but Shoresy isn’t so sure because he feels he can’t have an impact on the game. He tells her that she works too much and leaves.

Shoresy shows up at Laura Mohr’s house to tell her that she told him to hang out with the guys because she is scared that she won’t be able to stop banging him. She tells him that she can go a long time without banging. Much to her surprise, this only fuels his fire. This goes back and forth for several minutes until she notices how messed up his eyebrows are. They are so messed up that she invites him in to fix them. While she fixes his eyebrows, he talks to her about BROdude and how it doesn’t scratch the itch. She tells him that he can do anything he wants before once again telling him to go party with the boys.

The next day, Shoresy takes the Blueberry Buddies tubing with the Bulldogs. Sometime later, Shoresy is shown thanking Anik and Emma for letting him appear on BROdude. They tell him to come back anytime he is in the city. Nat is shown leaving the office and going dancing with Miigwan and Ziigwan. After dancing, Nat tells Miigwan that she was right too much hockey is a great way to stop enjoying hockey. Miigwan reminds her that it was Ziigwan who said that.

The episode ends with Ziigwan showing up and telling Nat and Miigwan that she’s secured the Bulldogs an ‘in’ to a prospective party that might eventually lead to admittance to the Weird Sudbury. She also has bad news – the Jims have gone rogue.

Shoresy Review

Another excellent episode, but it was practically just more of the same stuff – partying and crap-talking. I am certainly not saying that isn’t enjoyable because I like it, but I could see how it could become a bit repetitive. I did enjoy seeing Liam, Cody, and Jory make another appearance. It’s pretty obvious where things are headed after the off-season, but I am still enjoying this season. For that, I’d have to give the episode a 6 out of 10.
