As the finale gets underway, a bomb is constructed for Vic’s plan. The bomb is placed inside of a shirt. After the intro, Kane (Toby Wallace) continues reeling from the revelation that Martin is his father. He receives a call from Zoe (Sophie Lowe). She tells Kane that she knows he killed Blake. She explains that Blake was a beginning, but Kane is an end. Gabe (Jacqueline McKenzie) takes a cab out of the city. Vic (Dan Wyllie) meets with McGoo (John Brumpton) at the motel. He tells him about the bomb and gives him instructions for the night. He also confirms that the money has been deposited in the account of McGoo’s daughter. Laila (Nicole Chamoun) and Farid (Julian Maroun) wait in traffic.
Kane manages to lose his tail. Meanwhile, Zoe loads one of the firearms. She also attaches a silencer to it. The police watch as Petra (Lily Sullivan), Thomas (Louis Corbett) and Cindi (Markella Kavenagh) leave their apartment. They follow them. Marco (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor), who is spending time with his kids, learns about their activities. Vic drives McGoo towards the venue. Petra and the others get stuck in traffic. Cindi manages to flash a group of boys to let them go first. Laila and Farid make it. They decide to wait outside, until George Anabasis (Simon Palomares) arrives. The police continue following Petra’s vehicle. Vic stops the vehicle and gives McGoo instructions once again. He is distraught and nearly goes the wrong way.
McGoo continues on and picks up the vest from Stix (Kaden Hartcher). Petra and the others finally arrive too. The cops get into a wreck. They’re forced to make an arrest. Marco doesn’t want to lose antifasc, so he leaves his kids and goes after them. He gets a call from Zoe, who wants to meet. Since her information has nothing to do with Anabasis, Marco tells her that they’ll meet tomorrow. After the call ends, Zoe tells her drive to head for Boathouse Drive. Petra and the others enter the venue. Farid and Laila watch them from a distance. McGoo makes it outside, but realizes he has forgotten his phone. He tells the guy he has cancer and bribes him to get inside. It works. Thomas notices McGoo inside, but Cindi quickly distracts him.
Kane visits the hospital. He learns that Martin has passed away. During this time, Cindi calls him and reveals where she is at. Her battery dies. She returns inside and speaks with McGoo. He tries to tell her to leave, but she doesn’t. Vic realizes that McGoo left the phone behind. Kane gets the message from Cindi. He calls Vic and learns that Operation Blue Star is back on. He tries to get Vic to call it off, but he can’t since McGoo doesn’t have the phone. He threatens to kill Vic should anything happen to Cindi. Kane tries to call his sister, but she doesn’t answer. He begins rushing towards the boathouse. Zoe arrives. Laila and Farid watch as Anabasis arrives at the boathouse. Zoe confronts Macro outside. She admits she knows what is going to happen, before shooting Macro dead. She cleans off the gun and leaves.
Gabe calls Macro and tells him that she loves him. Laila and Fraid confront George. Petra and the others do the same. George learns about Jago’s death. Kane rushes towards the scene, while George takes the stage. McGoo begins approaching him. Thomas recognizes him as a Nazi. Chaos ensues. They fight with McGoo, but he manages to push the trigger and explode the bomb. Kane arrives at the scene to find a total mess.
Romper Stomper Review
All in all, the finale of Romper Stomper was very good. I am really surprised they allowed McGoo to complete his mission. I was positive it would get stopped one way or another. Now, it will be interesting to see the aftermath. Kane will be out for vengeance. Who all died in the explosion? It seems that Zoe set everything up. After all, she told Marco that she knew what was going to happen and Vic said that the message came from someone higher up. Perhaps she was behind Kane’s rise all along?
The finale was good. I sincerely hope Romper Stomper gets a second season. The finale scores an 8 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Romper Stomper now!
