As the episode begins, Laila (Nicole Chamoun) continues to reel from Jago’s death. She eventually gets a ride from McKew (Philip Hayden). He isn’t happy in the least. He threatens to send antifasc after her. He gives her a phone, before she gets out of his vehicle. She gives the phone back and continues on her way. After the intro, Vic (Dan Wyllie) gets a visit from Gabe (Jacqueline McKenzie). They argue back and forth. Vic insists that Hando is Kane’s father. Gabe tells Vic to stay away from her son. She stabs him in the arm, before leaving his store. Marco (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) and the others investigate Jago’s death. Marco isn’t convinced that it was Muslims. Police begin raiding houses belonging to the antifasc member. They’re unable to track anyone down. Petra (Lily Sullivan) watches the news report on television alongside Danny (Tysan Towney). She is interrupted by Maeve (Syd Zygier).
Zoe (Sophie Lowe) watches it with Kane (Toby Wallace). She believes that the government is responsible. She also suggests that they killed Blake (Lachy Hulme) and will come after Kane next. Kane calls Jago’s phone. Marco picks up. Petra speaks with the other antifasc members. Laila tells Farid (Julian Maroun) about the murder. He takes her phone and speaks with Petra. They agree to meet later than night. Farid tells Laila to go to his house. McGoo (John Brumpton) gets in touch with his daughter, Katy (Kate Song). He speaks with her briefly, before returning to Vic. They chat about the upcoming mission. Vic promises that he’ll give Katy money once it has been completed. Farid speaks with Petra, who admits she is not sorry that Jago is dead. He tells her about McKew’s threats. Petra insists that Laila needs to sit tight and work on her alibi.
Farid is chased by an antifasc member on his way back home. He loses the guy and gets in touch with Laila. They arrange to meet at the gym. Kane and Zoe prepare their firearms. A bloody Noddy (Sam Parsonson) is dropped off outside. Kane immediately gets in touch with Lyno (Fletcher Humphrys) and the others. Kane promises to get revenge on the gangsters. Lyno takes Noddy to the hospital. Gabe gets passports for herself and Kane. She also gets an IV bag. She heads to the hospital and tries to kill Martin. However, she is stopped by a nurse. She hides the evidence and doesn’t get caught. At the gym, Malik (Jamie Abdallah) learns that the victim has survived. When Farid and Laila arrive, he encourages them to go to the police. They refuse. Instead, Laila gets in touch with George Anabasis (Simon Palomares), who is kin to Thomas and Petra.
In return, George gets in touch with Petra. He arranges to meet them at the Richmond Boathouse. They agree to get to Laila, before she can get to George. In the morning, Kane and Zoe are awoken by Marco. He speaks with Kane alone. He tells him that he doesn’t care about the racist stuff, as long as Kane speaks with him and gives him information. Zoe tells Kane that Marco is responsible for Blake’s death and he could be next. Cindi (Markella Kavenagh) visits Vic and tells him about the Boathouse meeting. He tells her to make sure she is nowhere near it. Vic calls McGoo and tells him to get ready. Stix (Kaden Hartcher) sews up Vic’s arm. They’re interrupted with Kane enters. Vic tells Kane about his plan to kill George Anabasis. Kane tells him no. He insists that they’re not terrorists. When Kane leaves, Vic begins preparing Stix to become the next leader.
Marco tells his partner not to put more surveillance on antifasc. Kane returns home and tells Zoe about Vic’s plan. He admits he doesn’t know whether or not Vic will go through with it. Kane runs into Gabe outside. She tells him that his father is not Handon. Instead, it is his own grandfather Martin. Kane becomes distraught and leaves his mother on the ground crying.
Romper Stomper Review
This episode of Romper Stomper was much slower than the previous. There was less action. Nevertheless, it did a great job of setting up the finale. Now, it seems that everyone is heading for Richmond Boathouse. Who is going to come out on top? Will George Anabasis fall prey to Vic and McGoo? Or, will Kane be able to stop their plan? The episode was pretty good. I can’t wait to see how things play out. The episode scores a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Romper Stomper right now!
