Ridley Review
Goodwin, Carol, and Ridley show bias toward Jack because he is a Farman. The video put him and Jordan at the rave on the night Oliver was murdered. Jordan is brought in for questioning but not Jack. He is later arrested for drug possession. He grew up in care homes while Jack has had a stable home all his life. It is possible that Jack is involved in the drug trade, not as deeply as Jordan but involved, nonetheless. He obviously knows more than what is telling. As soon as Jack was connected to Jordan, Carol should have been removed from the case.
Let’s not forget that Lewis’ DNA was found on the bullet that killed Oliver. He confessed to giving Oliver the gun. Goodwin refused to arrest him without the murder weapon. Murder charges have been brought with much less evidence. Lewis is from a prominent family.
The series has taken yet another turn for the worse. It’s never been great and nothing makes it stand out. It’s a mere drop in the bucket compared to all the other British police procedural shows. The episode deserves a 4.5 out of 10.
