This week, Netflix unveiled the cast of its upcoming series Curse, which is based on the upcoming book of the same name. The series is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend through the eyes of a young woman who eventually becomes known as the Lady of the Lake. The coming-of-age story features familiar themes, including religious zeal and oppression, the destruction of the natural world, and finding the courage to lead.
The series is scheduled to begin filming in England and Wales in March of 2019. Zetna Fuentes is set to direct and serve as an executive producer on the first two episodes of the series, which is being created and executive produced by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler. Wheeler will also be the showrunner and writer.
Cursed is being led by Katherine Langford. She will be joined by Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgard, Daniel Sharman, Peter Mullan, Lily Newmark, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Emily Coates, Catherine Walker, Billy Jenkins, and Sebastian Armesto.
