As the finale of MILF Of Norway begins, Lene (Mariann Hole) and Lars Berg (Trond Fausa) ride together. Lene tries to get in touch with Mons who doesn’t answer. Lars asks about Emrik. Lene claims he’s just a guy at work, but Lars doesn’t believe her. He admits she’s not the only one who has been led into temptation. They find Mons (Fridtjof Beer Roland) outside of a clothing shop. Since Mons doesn’t want to leave, Lars gives him his phone and tells him to come straight home after this. Lene threatens to kill him if he is using drugs. Mons hugs the worker inside the store. At home, Lene agrees with Lars that this cannot continue. Lars thinks they should just talk and be honest with each other.
When Lars mentions he was led into temptation, Lene tries to find out who it was. He reveals it is Aleksandra at work, but he didn’t technically cheat with her. Then, he asks about Emrik again. Lene tells him she’s been selling pornographic images of herself on the Internet. She’s never shown her face. Emrik has been helping her. Mons returns home and tells Lene that he has three potential buyers. Mons asks who gets to keep the house when Lene and Lars divorce. He believes they’re involved with other people. Lene insists they’re not getting divorced. She admits she hopes they’re not. Mons believes she’s been happy lately like she’s in love. At work, Lars looks through his wife’s photos. Kikki goes to a yoga class and Lene joins her.
Lars and Aleksandra speak to Aimen. When PM arrives, he is told Aimen wants to say something. Aimen admits he lied during the first meeting because he knows who PM is and he knows his song. He couldn’t make anything until he played around with PM’s song. Aimen confesses he didn’t think about the consequences. PM asks if he can speak to Lars and Aleksandra in private. He tells them that should’ve been recorded before asking how much they can get. Aleksandra believes a conviction could help PM’s music. Lars argues they should think about this first. PM says they’re here because they know they’ll lose at trial. He is adamant they should take this further. Kikki and Lene talk about what it’s like to be newlyweds again. Kikki admits not much has changed. She caught Pal red-handed on their wedding night.
Emilie and her friends see Mons with his new girlfriend. Lars continues looking through Lene’s photos. That night, Lene tells Lars that she wants to find a secure job and not mess around on her own. Lars says that would mean she wouldn’t have to mess around with her side gig. He asks her to send him the pictures if she has to take pictures of her body. They hug. Next, PM meets Lars and Aleksandra. Lars explains that the case will go to the district court and he’ll let PM know the date. Lars will be resigning because he doesn’t want to represent this case. He recommends Aleksandra who has started working with a reputable firm. Lars tells PM that money isn’t everything. He doesn’t think taking the case to court will benefit anyone. Lars worries that the case could hurt PM’s image.
Lars refuses to change his mind. Lene’s father returns home and surprises her. She asks him if he’s heard of InsideFans. Lene tells him that she’s been creating content on the website. He doesn’t care what people do as long as they’re not hurting anyone. They talk about the money she made. Lene’s dad thinks she should follow the money. She explains she is quitting because she received a few nasty comments. He didn’t think she cared what other people said. Lene doesn’t want Mons to find out either. He argues there was no need to tell him if it was over. PM changes his mind and agrees to settle, but he wants to be credited as a songwriter. He also wants a mention in every interview Aimen does regarding the song. He wants to perform on VG-Lista as The King. Aimen can be the little prince. Lars believes that could be arranged.
Lene learns that her InsideFans profile has made the news. Kikki confronts her because she knows it’s her. Lene says she quit so they should just forget about it. Kikki argues that this is just getting started and she wants him. She says they’re hot. They can set up a joint account and make lots of money. Lene gets dressed while Lars eats with Mons and his girlfriend downstairs. She goes downstairs and joins them. Later, she visits Emrik (Kim Falck) to possibly get his help.
MILF Of Norway Review
Based on what information is available, it appears this was the finale. With that in mind, this was a good way to end the first series of MILF Of Norway while leaving the door open for a return. The episode had some strong moments with Lene and Lars trying to work through their problems.
It appears Mons is doing better now that he has a girlfriend and PM has decided to settle as long as he gets what he wants. While Lene decided to stop using InsideFans, it seems Kikki changed her mind and she wants to join her. Her father also didn’t seem to mind that she was creating content for the website.
The finale was genuinely funny at points and touching at other points. The series still has room to improve. For instance, the camera shake is pretty bad and unnecessary as well. The fact that episodes are released weekly for such a short series isn’t ideal either. As much as people are paying for an HBO Max subscription, the week-long wait for each episode is unacceptable.
Not to mention, it’s too easy to forget stuff in between and the wait hinders the momentum of the series. The same can be said for Fantasmas and any other series that’s released weekly. Now that the costs between cable and streaming have converged, the streaming schedule should at least help streaming distinguish itself.
Otherwise, the series has been an enjoyable watch that still has plenty of promise. The finale scores a 6.5 out of 10. Recaps of MILF Of Norway can be found on Reel Mockery here.
