As the episode begins, Arthit (Benhur Helwend) scares Price’s daughters. He manages to escape through the window and flees while Price (David Wenham) fires at him from the window. After the intro, Price tells Eddie Salita (Justin Rosniak) to take his daughters to the Selebo motel. Meanwhile, Dolores (Rebel Wilson) gets a call from Arthit. She learns that her plan fell through. He was unable to capture one of Price’s daughters. She decides to do something about it herself. When the call ends, we see that Thumper (Steve Le Marquand) has been pleasing Dolores. He offers to step up and obtain information about Price and Doreen’s death. Dolores likes the idea.
Eddie checks in at the motel while Sian (Milly Alcock) and Pia (Jean Hinchliffe) wander off. They learn that Rob Lowe is somewhere in the motel but Eddie isn’t going to let them find him. He agrees to ask Price if he knows him though. Billy (Hunter Page-Lochard) and Les (Alexander Bertrand) arrive at the motel as well. Eddie runs into moments later. He makes the girls their responsibility. Les goes downstairs to get them some coffee while Price speaks with Georgie (Pallavi Sharda) about their situation. They contemplate doing a ring-a-round and finding out who is on their side. Les gets the coffee and enters the bathroom. Dolores shows up and headbutts him.
He finds himself tied up on a bed in one of the motel rooms. Dolores lets him know that she is going to sexually torture him until he gives up information about her sister’s death. Price gets in touch with Eddie and learns that he is watching Dolores’ property. Price is asked about Rob Lowe but he doesn’t believe it has anything to do with the girls. Foghorn (Ian Roberts) arrives and helps keep an eye on Dolores’ place. Les is put through the torture but he pretends he enjoys it. He lies about Doreen as well. Meanwhile, Thumper begins speaking with the locals in hopes of getting incriminating information on Price. He speaks with Foghorn who says something about Emily Gold and Les.
Soon, Thumper learns that Emily (Syd Zygier) didn’t show up to work because she is sick. Emily goes for a run and meets up with her boss. She confesses that she is concerned that Thumper is going to find out about her. Her boss recommends going after Georgie as soon as possible. She recommends offering her immunity. She goes home and gets a call from Thumper. He pleads with her to get down to the station as soon as possible. Thumper wants to know all about her relationship with her friend at the Kelly Club. Sian and Pia begin calling around the motel in hopes of finding out what room the sexiest man alive is staying in. Billy emerges from the bathroom and Eddie arrives moments later.
They realize that Les has gone missing. The torture on Les continues and he puts up a brave front. Soon, the phone rings and picks up. It is Dolores but the girls believe that Rob Lowe is staying in that room. Price tries to get in touch with the premier but they will not let him through. The girls get dressed up with the intention of meeting the sexiest man alive and the torture continues on Les. Billy refuses to let the girls leave even when they tell him about Rob Lowe. Price gets a call from the minister (Rhys Muldoon). The Minister lets him know that they’re moving past him. Eddie arrives after the call ends. He lets Price know that Thumper has been speaking with everyone about Doreen.
He also explains that Les has gone missing. This leads Price to believe that Price might be squealing on them. Eddie sneaks into Les’ apartment and finds a recording. He lets Price listen to the recording. Les is told that he can return back home now that everything is good. Price believes that Les bailed on them. Emily meets up with Georgie and tries to convince her to flip. She gives her a card before leaving. Dolores has nearly had enough with Les. She decides to try one last thing. The girls hear the chaos through the vent and plot to escape and find out what is going on. Price goes to a church and speaks with a priest about his current problems.
Georgie begins tracking down evidence that she can use to protect herself. When Emily returns home, she finds Thumper in her house. He has discovered the evidence and knows what she is up to. He tries to choke her out but Emily manages to fight him off and escape. Her boss helps her hide from Thumper. Les finally has enough. He tells Dolores where she can find her sister’s body. The girls trick Billy and escape from the motel room. They run down the stairs, steal some keys, and break into the room where Les is being held. Billy helps Les escape while Dolores takes a shower. Eddie interrupts Price and lets him know.
Les tells Price that he tried to hold out but couldn’t. Price feels bad that he doubted Les’ loyalty. Price believes that they can overcome their problems since they all have loyalty like Les. He intends to go after her. Price doesn’t believe that they have anything on them. They have no evidence. It appears that the others might be hiding something. Did they squeal to someone?
Les Norton Review
I really like Les Norton. This episode was fairly humorous. It isn’t the most realistic show ever and there are plenty of plot holes. Nevertheless, the show works. It is funny and each episode manages to bring something new to the table. I am sad that the next episode is going to be the last. However, I am eager to find out how things are going to wrap up. Who is going to go down? Will they be able to escape justice? What will happen to Les Norton?
This episode was entertaining enough to keep me content from start to finish. I’d give it a 7.5 out of 10. Catch up with previous recaps of Les Norton before you go!
