From Season 3 Episode 10 Finale Recap

Randall From MGM+

Revelations: Chapter Two – The episode opens with Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) showing Kenny (Ricky He) a map of the local area where the search party is based. Kenny questions why Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) was at the shack. Ellis (Corteon Moore) arrives and suggests Elgin (Nathan D Simmons) knows something about her whereabouts. In an undisclosed location, Fatima unbuttons her dress to reveal her abdomen undulating as her baby makes big movements. She screams in pain. At the diner, Elgin expresses suspicion about Elgin’s calm response when asked about Fatima. Boyd sends Kenny and Ellis to keep Elgin from leaving. Ethan Matthews (Simon Webster) and Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) meet Victor (Scott McCord) as he is leaving Tabitha Matthews’ (Catalina Sandino Moreno) house. Victor says she fell. Jim races in to check on her. Victor claims to have seen the Boy in White but he wasn’t helpful. Julie Matthews (Hannah Cheramy) takes Victor to the diner. Tabitha explains what happened when she and Victor followed the little girl to the root cellar. Victor became upset over something he remembered about the night Miranda left. She felt Miranda was there, trying to tell her something.

Jim apologizes to Jade (David Alpay) about his recent behavior and suggests he may know how he can protect his family. En route to the Colony House, Boyd tells Sara Myers (Avery Konrad) about Elgin’s odd behavior after Tillie’s death. He asks her to warn Elgin against listening to anything here. Donna (Elizabeth Saunders) asks Boyd why he is keeping Elgin there. He says the Colony House needs to be vacated. Elsewhere, Tabitha explains how she saw Miranda die in her vision. Jade says his visions show him things that are not supposed to be there. He insists the creepy little girl wanted Tabitha to see something in the root cellar. She claims the little girl was near Victor’s truck. At the Colony House, Elgin tells Boyd that an angel insisted he not talk to anyone. He believes Fatima’s baby is their savior. Boyd says Mari (Kaelen Ohm) and Kristi (Chloe Van Landschoot) said the ultrasound did not reveal a baby in Fatima’s wound. Sara explains how voices convinced her to kill Nathan Myers by promising to let her go home. Elgin says this is different because Fatima will be fine and when the baby is born, they will be free to go home. Boyd intervenes to stop Ellis from attacking Elgin. Donna is beginning to believe him. Sara assures them that he will never tell. Boyd orders Kenny to keep Elgin there and not let anyone visit him.

Henry (Robert Joy) apologizes to Victor for not being there for him. Victor says there is something he might want to see but it will make him angry. At the shed, Father Khatri (Shaun Majumder) sarcastically suggests Boyd remove Elgin’s fingernails with pliers. He accuses him of turning a blind eye when Fatima killed Tillie and covered it up. Khatri points out that Elgin is no different because he believes it is for the better good. Boyd reminds him that they were supposed to figure it out together until he got himself killed. Khatri says if he goes through with it, the town will be the winner. Boyd leaves the shed with a bag of tools. At an undisclosed location, Fatima considers utilizing a broken glass to kill herself and/or the baby. Elsewhere, Jade tells Jim and Tabitha that he saw the creepy children and a symbol made of roots. She recalls Victor saying the Boy in White said the kids on the stones poured their hopes into the roots which made the symbol. Speaking to the creatures, Jade demands they do a better job explaining things to them if they want their help.

Randall (A.J. Simmons) is working out when he ears begin to ring. At the clinic, Mari (Kaelen Ohm) is treating Kristi’s (Chloe Van Landschoot) wound when Randall enters asking for the defibrillator. Mari says it is in the supply closet. He retrieves the machine, turns it on, and places the paddle against his face. Mari races in to stop him. He tells her to make it stop. She assures him that he will be all right. Boyd returns to the Colony House and tells Donna, Ellis, and Sara that what happens from here on is his doing. Ricky tries to convince Boyd to not do it but he insists it is necessary to find Fatima. Elgin still refuses to talk. Boyd retrieves a hammer from his bag and hits the table with it. The instant camera develops a photo of a white house. Elgin claims the angel communicates with him via the camera.

Victor leads Henry to a hilltop where Miranda is buried. He removes debris from a painted rock which he believes is Eloise. He admits to having told Miranda that the tree would lead her to the children. He blames himself for her death. Henry assures him that she was only trying to protect him.

Jade, Jim, and Tabitha discuss the significance of the 12 numbers. Jim asks if the scale has 12 notes before recalling how his mother said music was the “universal language.” Jade leaves to find Victor’s violin. At the clinic, Randall is finally asleep. Kristi urges Mari to talk to her. Mari fears none of them will ever be okay.

At the Colony House, Boyd restrains Elgin with an electric cable. Elgin asks Boyd what is in the picture. Boyd ties him to a chair. He says it was a picture of the house he bought with his wife when he retired. It was the one they were going to when he ran into that tree. The only thing missing was the boat. Elgin says she’s showing him that they’re going home and they just need to wait. Boyd pulls out tools he is going to use to torture Elgin. He claims Elgin put someone he loves in danger. He demands to know where she is. Father Khatri shows up. Body smashes Elgin’s hand with a hammer. Sara and the others hear the chaos. Acosta arrives and hears what is going on. She intervenes and stops Boyd. Jade tells Tabitha they have to treat it like any composition and find out what is a cord and what is a melody. He figures out that one number is a G instead of a B.

Jade thinks he’s figured it out. He pieces the numbers together as Jim enters the room. Jade begins humming or singing. Jim asks him what that is. Jade doesn’t know what it is. He just looked at the numbers and notes and it came to him. Tabitha seems optimistic. Jim asks him to stop because he’s not sure this is a good idea. He thinks it’s odd that the music just popped into his head. Jim suggests the place is trying to manipulate everyone. He mentions the haunted music boxes and the jukeboxes in the diner. Tabitha insists they can’t just forget about this. She says the message was left at the tree so they should play it there. Fatima cries as she cuts her stomach using a piece of glass. A creature asks her to stop. The creature tells her that it’s coming just before Fatima’s water breaks. Ethan speaks to Julie about Tian-Chen. He doesn’t want to forget what she was like. Julie says she didn’t just have a dream when she walked into the ruins.

She believes she went somewhere. Julie explains she was suddenly in a chamber and she saw herself, Randall, and Marielle chained to the wall. They were all screaming. Julie believes that’s where they were when they couldn’t wake up. When she went into the tunnels, she heard their mom talking to Victor who helped her find her way out of the tunnels. Julie thinks she somehow went back to that night. Ethan calls her a Storywalker. She might be able to do it again if she goes back to the ruins. She could possibly change things and save people. Ethan says that’s impossible because she can’t change the chapters. Acosta tells Boyd that it looked like he was torturing that kid. Sara listens to them argue. Elgin is tied up and injured. When Sara enters, Elgin says he’d tell her if he could but he can’t. Sara says her heart broke for him when she saw him in the church. Elgin asks her to tell Boyd to stop. Sara knows he thinks he’s saving everyone.

She says Boyd doesn’t understand how far he needs to go to make Elgin tell him. Sara won’t let this place take Boyd’s soul and she’s already given it hers. Boyd continues arguing with Acosta. They hear screaming. They run upstairs and find Elgin missing an eyeball. Sara tells Boyd and the others that Fatima is in the root cellar. Tabitha, Jim, and Jade go to the street. Jade begins playing the song. Boyd and the others run to the root cellar. The creature helps Fatima give birth. They find Fatima after she’s already given birth. She tells them that the creature took the baby. Boyd looks into the hole. He tells Ellis to get Kenny and get Fatima back to Colony House. Boyd says they’re not going to be blindsided by this place again. He goes into the tunnels. Jade continues playing the song. They’re approached by creepy children. Tabitha says they’re here. She urges Jade to keep playing. Boyd runs into the creature. Fatima tells Ellis that she saw what those things are.

They sacrificed their children because it promised them that they would live forever. Boyd watches as the baby turns into a nightmare creature Smiley (Jamie McGuire). A creepy child approaches Tabitha and says “Anghkooey”. Jade explains it means “remember”. He says they tried to save them because one of them but stops. Upset, Tabitha leaves. Jade says they used to sing them lullabies. Jim goes after Tabitha to get answers. She knows why she sees those children and Jade can see them too. It’s why there is more than one bracelet. She kept making them. Jim doesn’t understand. Tabitha says she and Jade have been there before. She felt what Miranda felt because she was Miranda. Jade was Christopher. They’ve come back over and over again because they failed the first time. Tabitha says she and Jade were there in the beginning. They tried saving the children and set them free because one of them was theirs. She was their daughter.

In the vehicle, Jim tells Tabitha he sometimes remembers what it was like when it wasn’t like this. Jim goes to the camper. Julie runs to him and says they need to get to the town right now because it’s not safe. She says she needs to change the story. A man in a yellow suit (Douglas E. Hughes) approaches and says that was a hell of a song. He says Jade sure can play. Jim tells Julie to run. The man says this didn’t have to happen, grabs Jim around the neck, and pushes him against the camper. He throws Julie to the ground. The man tells Jim his wife shouldn’t have dug that hole. He pulls out Jim’s neck.

From Review

The series is a complete and utter joke. The finale is predominately a waste of time as it does little to push the story forward. The script is cryptic and enigmatic, not by intellect but by lack thereof. The story is stuck in an endless loop with no end in sight. Nothing is ever resolved and much of the content is recycled over the three seasons, soon to be four.

Tabitha is Miranda and Jade is Christopher. To make this work, Miranda had an affair with Christopher while they were trapped in the township. Henry was living in Camden at the time. Wouldn’t Tabitha be closer to Henry’s age?

A mere plot twist to keep viewers trapped in this endless cycle of ridiculousness. Viewers have once again been shafted by Amazon MGM Studios. The finale deserves a 4 out of 10.
