Fifteen-Love Series 1 Episode 3 Recap

The episode opens with Justine Pearce (Ella Lily Hyland) and Glenn Lapthorn (Aidan Turner) riding down the road while listening to music. She rubs the back of his hair when a text pops up on her phone. He asks who sent it. She claims it is her other lover until sensing his stress when she says Renee Okoye (Harmony Rose Bremner). He warns that it would be bad if anyone finds out about what happened between them in Russia. She vows to never tell anyone. Arriving with a trophy, a glowing group of family and friends greet her.

Justine stares at a nondisclosure agreement splayed out on the table. Renee urges her to sign it to have money for herself. She tells her that everyone needs to move past it. Justine ignores a call from Mikki Easton (Jess Darrow). While working out, Mikki receives a call from Glenn. Later, they are having dinner when she receives Justine’s accusatory text. Mikki’s return text reads, “I’m working on something. I think I Can help.” After an exchange of business cards, Mikki catches up with Luca. She says the disciplinary hearing outcome was not a surprise to anyone. He asks if she knows Justine. She tells him that the headline, an A-list tennis coach caught up in an abuse scandal. She warns that they do not want to be swimming in the swamp.

Glenn arranges a meeting with Mikki. He tells Khalida Lapthorn (Manon Azem) that Justine will sign the nondisclosure agreement, so they can finally move forward. She warns that he may be underestimating Justine. He assures her that Andi Woodward (Anna Chancellor) has it under control. He informs her of his decision to hire a new PR manager.

Khalida visits Justine to ask if it is really over because she knows it was never about the money. Justine claims to care nothing about money. Khalida accuses her of thinking it is a game to secure her connection with Glenn. She demands the nondisclosure agreement to be signed today before physically threatening her.

Rushhikesh “Rusty” Raj (Amar Chadha-Patel) verbally disciplines Luisa Molina (Maria Almeida) for inappropriate behavior on the court. She assures him that she is there for finishing school. Glenn stresses the importance of controlling her anger. She sarcastically asks like Luca. Justine informs Steve O’Callaghan (Tom Varey) of being banned from Longwood Academy after Andi made her redundant. After confessing to not believing her allegations against Glenn, he asks if Longwood Academy can terminate her. She walks directly into Andi’s office to sign the nondisclosure agreement in front of her. Steve tells Justine that he cares about her and worries she will hate him. She takes a detour to the tennis courts where she sees Glenn talking to Luisa. Seeing him touch Louisa’s shoulder triggers a flashback of a similar but more intimate experience between her and Glen. Back to the present, Glenn accuses her of spying on him. She tells him that the nondisclosure agreement has been signed. He gives her a sensual pep talk.

Glenn introduces Mikki to Khalida when Luca calls him. Luca scolds him for not saying anything about the disciplinary hearing. Glenn tries to convince him to relax with a massage. Irate, Luca sarcastically agrees to go for a swim in the “cow-filled swamp.” Glenn suggests discussing it when he returns. Luca tells him to “eat sh*t” before abruptly ending the call. Khalida explains her idea to celebrate the French Open. Mikki suggests thinking about it for a while. Glenn tells her that he wants to see what she can do. He invites her to stay on until the tournament ends. She reluctantly accepts his offer.

Renee informs Justine of Sarah’s mother dying, leaving her without a coach. She says the disciplinary hearing was about revenge. She asks if it ever crossed her mind that it would put her in a crappy position. Justine tells her that she was there as a friend. Renee accuses her of believing she could never compete with her. Justine reminds her of her wrist injury. Renee points out that she dropped out of physiotherapy.

Glenn tells Khalida that Luca is irate about the disciplinary hearing. She reminds him that he was cleared of the abuse allegations. He warns that Justine will not stop until she ends his career. He assures her that PR will not make it go away. She says now that the nondisclosure agreement is signed, she can no longer touch him.

Justine asks Rusty about Luisa. He tells her that Luisa enrolled in Silver Star two years ago. She asks if Glenn has been teaching her. He says maybe a couple of sessions. Looking at her expression, he assures her that there is nothing to support her jealous fantasies. Recalling how Luisa gripped a tennis ball triggers a memory in which she slams her racket against the ground. Placing a tennis ball in her hand, he suggests squeezing until she gets control of the anger. She aggressively grips the ball.

Back to the present, Glenn tells Andi that Justine informed Luca of the disciplinary hearing. He believes she is trying to destroy their relationship. After warning that Luca will eventually blow, he suggests walking away. She voices concern about the press getting wind of it. She agrees to support him in shutting her down.

Mikki asks David Tillett (Ian Gelder) if he was shocked by Justine’s sexual abuse allegations. He claims Glenn was always open about it and responsible. He tells her that tennis coaches have a controlling nature. He describes Justine as unstable and Glenn as being impeccably behaved.

Glenn calls Justine to accuse her of informing Luca of the disciplinary hearing. She denies the allegations. He threatens to have his new PR manager expose her dark secrets if she does not stop. After the call ends, he receives a text from Luca demanding a meeting at the Farm House Hotel in Brockenhurst. Luisa wins today’s tournament while Glenn is on his way to meet Luca.

Peplin Saltzherr (Hein Van Der Heijden) tells Mikki that Glenn needed respect and control from the players. She asks how much control he needed. He says, “All the way.”

Carol Pearce (Elizabeth Berrington) and Justine talk about going away for the summer. Searching Louisa’s social media, Justine discovers a selfie at The Leveret Pub. At the pub, she meets Mikki to tell her about the nondisclosure agreement. Mikki says she should have spoken with her first. Justine reminds her of the disciplinary hearing ending in Glenn’s favor. After admitting to meeting Glenn at Queens, Mikki points out that there is no evidence against him but he is guilty. She tells her about being his new PR manager. Irate, Justine accuses her of trying to get a story to further her career. Mikki suggests she still cares for him. Justine says she does not want her help. The Silver Star tennis players invite Justine to hang out with them.

Granluca Barzaghi (Lorenzo Richelmy) calls Glenn a “hypocrite.” Glenn tells him that it is the coach’s responsibility to protect his players. Luca says he kept it from him while he has no privacy. Glenn swears he will do whatever it takes to keep his confidence up. He describes Justine’s abuse allegations as “unfounded.” He boasts of everything he did to get him out of the lion’s den. Luca eventually calms down.

Louisa declines to drink tequila with the other players. Justine looks over Louisa’s shoulder while she puts her passcode into her phone. Louisa remains at the bar while everyone hits the dance floor. Justine watches as she sticks her phone in her jacket pocket before draping it over a chair. When a player pulls Louisa onto the dance floor, Justine utilizes an excuse to check her phone. A test from Matteo pops up warning her to get away from Justine. Looking deeper, she discovers recent intimate messages. She orders the bartender to add lime cordial to Louisa’s water. Louisa collapses on the dance floor, dropping her bag. As the players help her up, Justine takes her keys.

Justine searches Louisa’s room, finding a photo of her with a man, with only the body visible. A scar on the man’s chest triggers a flashback of Glenn who explains how he got the scar. Back to the present, Louisa returns home to find Justine in her room. Louisa accuses her of telling lies about Glenn. She accuses her of being jealous because he loves her. She assures her that no one will believe her if she tells anyone. Justine says he does not care about anyone. Louisa tells her that she obviously does not know him as the episode ends.
