Vincent arrives at the party where Jerry (Donald Sage Mackay) and Lennie (Dan Fogler) are hanging out. He speaks to Ronnie (Roberta Colindrez) about the script. Ronnie knows they released the suspect. Ronnie tells Vincent that they’re on his team and the booze is taking him nowhere. Before Vincent can leave, he’s stopped by Councilor Costello (Jeff Hephner) who says the Sunshine Charity is a great cause. Vincent says it’s remarkable that a donation to a charity that helps the poor is connected to Costello’s plan to bus the homeless out of the city. Costello’s brother-in-law, Bruno Di Bari (Gerard Monaco), comes over to say it’s about the health and sanitation of New York. Vincent believes Bruno owns Hudson Sanitation. Bruno tries to talk to him, but Vincent is distracted when he sees Ledroit (McKinley Belcher III) nearby.

Ledroit wants him to come to the station for questioning. Cassie sees police at home so she believes Edgar is home. George tells her they said Mr. Anderson has been arrested. She yells for him to get out until he leaves. Meanwhile, Vincent paces around his cell while Eric talks to him. At the police station, Cassie speaks to Mr. Rochelle who reveals her son Marlon passed. They talk about Edgar. Cecile says she had to fight to get anything about her son into the press. In an interview room, Michael Ledroit shows Vincent a surveillance video of Edgar leaving his apartment. Vincent is shown walking out moments later even though he said otherwise earlier. He blurts out something while speaking to Eric. Ledroit says Cassie called to say Vincent followed Edgar that day. She also said they had a fight the night before Edgar disappeared.

Ledroit asks if Edgar heard them. Vincent says he did and he followed Edgar because he was concerned. He explains he called for Edgar but he didn’t hear him. Ledroit points out that Vincent goes out of sight of the camera seconds later. Vincent keeps talking to himself during the interview. Tina (Erika Soto) arrives with a bag. Cassie looks through the door before being told to wait down the hall. Ledroit asks about the cut on Vincent’s head while Vincent spirals out of control. Ledroit reveals his blood type is the same as the blood on the t-shirt. Vincent yells to shut up. He tells Ledroit that he wants to make sure Edgar is okay. He followed Edgar down an alley and reached out for him. He grabbed him by the back of the neck, but Edgar freed himself. Vincent grabbed him again and yanked him by his t-shirt. That’s why he must’ve done that. Vincent says there was so much blood.

He claims Edgar took off the t-shirt and threw it at him. Vincent says he put it on his forehead because there was so much blood. Then, he threw the t-shirt behind the dumpster. In private, Ledroit tells the Commissioner he wants to keep Vincent overnight and let him sweat it out. He’s warned the press will go crazy over this. Ledroit tells Cassie to come back tomorrow. He mentions that a man entered the apartment after Vincent left and didn’t leave for a couple of hours later. Ledroit asks if the man is someone she trusts. Cassie says he’s a friend. Lennie checks on Cassie. A transient wrings out a t-shirt with Edgar’s flyer nearby. A news report talks about the homeless epidemic. Costello and Bruno watch the report about their plan to relocate the homeless to suitable accommodations. Bruno tells him he’s looking forward to working with him, but Costello insists it’s the last time.

Cripp reminds him of Marlon’s drug charges and suggests he is high somewhere or in the Hudson River. Ledroit says Cecile deserves closure. Cripp warns against interfering with Vice’s investigation. When Ledroit asks Nokes (Ryan Hunter) about “8,” he gets nothing but a stern warning.

Ledroit sees him. Lennie watches him from the bar. A cleaner at the police station accidentally knocks a pile of files into the floor. One of the files is Lennie’s. The episode ends.

Other than the revelation of Yuusuf abducting Edgar who is still alive, the episode is mere filler. Netflix taking advantage of Benedict Cumberbatch’s popularity to spew the same-old, same-old, hackneyed tripe. The episode deserves a 4.5 out of 10.
