Cruel Intentions Review
The third episode of Cruel Intentions pushed the story forward a bit with Lucien quickly winning over Annie Grover. Caroline and Blaise managed to work together to convince Blandsman to step down so Scott could be president. The series has some strong points at times although it’s not going to be for all viewers.
The series definitely sends the wrong message about universities and students, but it doesn’t go far enough in that area. Of course, the movie did the same as well. If it really wanted to be cutting edge, it could cover the countless crimes on campuses, overdoses, ETOH poisoning, and so on.
Lucien’s quest to score sex with Caroline is actually somewhat interesting although we all know the outcome based on the movie. The series is just okay, but it will grow on viewers who are willing to accept its flaws and all the corniness that comes with it. This episode scores a 5 out of 10.
