The evidence list shows a Bible was sealed in a bag but is yet to be processed. She searches through a box in the trunk of his vehicle but no Bible. As she approaches the house, Jason asks what she is doing. She claims the dog needed to go out before whistling for her. He asks if she has seen his briefcase. She says, “No.”
She is filling the teapot when the radio presenter (Breffni Clack) says the police have released scant details of the murder at the Glencara Hotel. Flipping off the radio, she calls Niall Mohan (Aidan McCann), Derek Mohan (Rhys Mannion), and Daitlin Mohan (Katelyn Rose Downey) to breakfast. Derek receives a text from Doireann Carrick (Grace Collender).

He claims Zelma Permeti (Ailbhe Cowley) generally arrives before her shift and is rarely late. Jason asks what time her shift starts. Sean says at 8pm and it is now after 9pm before asking if they believe she is associated with the murder. Jason asks when Zelma cleaned the victim’s room. Sean says only she would know. Jason asks if she is an illegal worker. Sean admits she is Albanian when the medical examiner, Martin Kelly approaches. Jason asks the time of death. Martin says between 2:30pm and 3:30pm. In disguise, Shelly enters the hotel and goes straight to the housekeeping closet.
Shelly enters the school looking for Matt Wilson (Trevor Kaneswaran) to find him not there. When she returns to her vehicle, a woman pecks on the window. She admits to seeing her leave with Matt before suggesting Mrs. Wilson wouldn’t appreciate it. Shelly demands she mind her own business.
Matt immediately apologizes to Shelly about yesterday. She breaks down sobbing. He comforts her when Mary (Caitriona Ennis) asks if is all right. Shelly informs her of Niall’s attack last night.
Fiona and Jason attend the autopsy. Martin notes a bird tattoo on his right shoulder. While Miss Walsh teaches, Caitlin starts her period. One of the students calls her “Bloody Mary.” Feeling ill, Jason leaves the room. Shelly doesn’t hear her phone. Martin explains the stomach content. Touching Shelly’s arm, he suggests leaving the dishes for later. Mary hands Shelly her bag as the phone rings. She arrives at the school to pick up Caitlin who demands to know where she has been. When they embrace, she pushes back before asking if she has been drinking. Martin sends Charlie’s fingerprints to AFIS.

Caitlin crams her ice cream wrapper in the trash bin when she discovers a piece of the photo that belonged to Charlie. She continues to dig through the trash. Luke (Maeron Libomi) takes off in the opposite direction as Derek meets up with Doireann. Caitlin hides the fully assembled photo when Shelly checks in on her.
Zelma claims to have seen Charlie alive. Jason informs her of his death. Fiona asks why she didn’t show up for work. Zelma says when she arrived for work, the police were there so she left. She has lived in Ireland illegally for three years. She says the man had sex with a “whore” twice. She tells them about hearing a “pop” at 2:40pm. The whore told her that the champagne cork nearly hit her in the eye. She denies ever seeing the woman. She says the woman didn’t have an Irish accent.

Shelly tries to make pleasant conversation at the dining table but no one responds. She laughs until she breaks down in tears.
Zelma identifies the woman in Charlie’s room on the hotel CCTV footage. Jason informs her that she will be staying until the woman is located. After pointing out that she helped them, she asks if they will help her and her children. He assures her that they will do what they can to help them. Fiona suggests Charlie’s tattoo is a magpie.
Watching Jason and Fiona emerge from the police station, Shelly calls him to say she wants to drop off some chicken curry. He claims they have another stop and he will be home in about two hours. Entering the police station, she asks an officer if she can put the food in his office. Inside his office, she utilizes nail police remover to unseal an evidence bag. She swaps out the Bible just in time for Garda Pat O’Neill (Ray Wheafer) to open the door. He informs her of Jason signing out for the day. Clean Sweep Review
Shelly remembers touching a Bible in Charlie’s hotel room. A Bible is marked as evidence in the investigation. She utilizes the excuse to deliver food to the police station to access Jason’s office. After switching out Charlie’s Bible, she burns it.
The housekeeper on duty when Charlie was murdered becomes the key witness in the case. She identifies a woman, “wh**e” who visited Charlie multiple times, including the day he was murdered.
Political candidate, Rory Lynch is the last person to text Charlie before Shelly shoots him. He asks if Shelly had been located. Discovering Charlie’s murder, he cuts the SIM card in the phone he utilized to communicate with him.
Caitlin starts her period in school. While hiding an ice cream wrapper in the trash bin, she discovers pieces of Charlie’s photo. She tapes the pieces together to reveal a picture of Charlie, Maggie, and another man. She conceals the photo from the others.
Jason and Fiona reveal their affair.
The writing supports the engaging plot with a few minor discrepancies. The acting, including the younger cast, are superior supporting characters. The show is yet to reveal a lot about Shelly’s past. It seems her father was abusive, more so toward her brother. Jason and the kids believe she was raised in foster homes but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The role Rory Lynch plays in her past is questionable.
Shelly covering her tracks is a bit too easy. It is likely, Charlie’s Bible would have already been processed by the forensics team or at least sent to be processed. Either way, it wouldn’t be laying around Jason’s office, instead, it would have been locked in the evidence room.
The scene in which Caitlin starts her menstrual cycle is totally blown out of proportion. The show is an insult to all girls who have found themselves in such a compromising predicament. Every girl responds differently to their first cycle but most can honestly say they never wiped menstrual blood on their notebook paper while their classmates stared in astonishment.
