Chloe Finale Recap – The show begins with Becky “Sasha” Green (Erin Doherty) taking Elliot Fairbourne’s phone while he sleeps. She searches through his text messages until she finds where Anish (Akshay Khanna) alerts Elliot (Billy Howle) of a €,5,000 withdrawal by potentially Chloe. A text from Livia Fulton (Pippa Bennett-Warner) questions Becky’s honesty. When Elliot turns over, she drops the phone on the floor, resulting in a cracked screen. She silently watches him go to the toilet, rushing to place the phone on the floor on his side of the bed. She is staring out the window when he enters the kitchen. When he offers to drive, she reluctantly claims Livia has some errands for her to do.

Becky imagines Chloe (Poppy Gilbert) trying to talk to Livia before asking her if she asked for help. Livia speaks harshly to someone on the phone. She tells Becky to stop as Anish returns and asks what is happening.
Elliot shows Phil Fulton (Alexander Eliot) something on his phone. Phil questions the cracked screen. Elliot immediately contributes the damage to Becky’s clumsiness. He smiles at her before kissing her forehead. Livia asks about Becky’s identity documents. She claims to not have them on her. Livia says bring them tomorrow.

She utilizes a shower as an excuse to put Chloe’s money into a box. Elliot is talking to Richard as she enters the kitchen. He informs her, Richard is going to stay at his mum’s place in the country for a few days. While he goes to get his mum’s house keys, Becky frantically searches for her car keys. She pleads with Richard to take her away before Elliot returns. Richard seems confused, saying I promised to stay for dinner. She says, “Fu** you” when he refuses. He says I can’t. She accuses of getting high to forget Chloe. Richard is crying by the time Elliot returns.
Elliot apologizes for his behavior in the car. He pleads with her to forgive him. She gets out of bed to search his pockets for her car keys. The next morning, he retrieves his clothes for his speech. She asks if he is excited. He says it is a big day. Becky calls Josh to alert him of Elliot taking her car keys. Elliot calls her over for a group photo. Phil approaches to say hey. He says Livia told him about her and Elliot having issues. He asks if she would like to talk. As he prepares to walk away, she accuses him of telling Elliot everything. She says you knew Chloe wanted to leave Elliot. He admits to wanting to leave Livia sometimes, but it is just part of being in a relationship. Before walking away, he welcomes her to the club. Anish stops her as she passes him to ask what transpired between her and Phil. She says I don’t know, maybe Livia is rubbing off on me.
As the speech starts, Becky retrieves her purse. The gift bag, with Chloe’s money, is gone. She approaches Anish to ask what he did with it. He follows her down the stairs to ask what she is doing. She asks for her gift bag. He thinks Livia put it with the coats. She pleads with him to let her go. If she leaves, it will put Elliot off his A-game. Anish claims he will be responsible for picking up the pieces. She utilizes her mum as an excuse to leave. He refuses to believe Pam (Lisa Palfrey) is sick. Josh approaches to ask if everything is okay. Anish says you have a nerve showing up here. Becky rushes to check in a closet for her gift bag. Livia gives Becky her driver’s license and gift bag, asking what type of person would track down Chloe’s grieving friends. She accuses her of trying to steal Chloe’s life. She encounters the entire mob as she prepares to make her exit.
Becky is with Josh at a restaurant. She apologizes for pulling him into her mess. He is just glad she is safe. She is confused as to why he doesn’t think she is crazy too. He suggests she go away for a while like London. She asks why London. He hates living there. If he gets a job offer after an interview next week, he will gladly move. She might be willing to move. While he goes to order food, she documents, “Anish messages Elliot about money” on Wednesday. She remembers asking Richard where Chloe was going when she left Elliot’s event the night she died.

In the letter, Chloe talks about school being lonely and how she thinks about her daily. She apologizes for not telling her about the party. In a flashback, Chloe chases after Becky the night Richard tosses beer and urine at her. She admits to feeling like her body is a bunch of mirrors to show others what they want to see. She describes herself as a “disco ball.” When she is with Becky, she feels like it is really her. Elliot doesn’t understand their friendship. He is against her sending the letter. He sometimes gets mad at her when she does things he doesn’t agree with.
Chloe apologizes about Sasha’s death before saying, “I love you.” She pleads for her forgiveness. Becky flops back on the bed. She lovingly holds the letter against her chest. She finds an envelope, with the quote, “To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die.” Becky joins Angela on the bottom step. She asks her where Chloe jumped. She says in Proxford by the old pier. Becky thinks she was coming to visit her. Angela admits Chloe asked her to not tell anyone where she was at. She explains how upset Elliot was and how he had looked everywhere for her.
When she found Chloe, she began walking toward her. She ran when Elliot called her name. He chased her. Angela says she doesn’t know what happened, but she didn’t see her jump. Not recognizing her, she asks her to come back. Before Becky leaves, she removes a box from the closet. She stops at the front desk to ask them to contact her when Elliot visits and to add Christine (Estella Daniels) to Pam’s visitor list. She pays them cash for Pam’s care.
She arrives at Elliot’s house. When she gets her car keys, a car pulls in the driveway. She hides in a closet. He calls her name. She quietly makes her way to the front door, which is locked. She says Elliot is in a lot of trouble, calling the entire scheme a nightmare. Becky agrees. She says he is my friend. Becky gives Livia her new phone number before she leaves. She looks out at the ocean as the episode comes to an end.
Chloe Finale Review
The first two episodes were nothing more than Becky snooping, which could have easily been summed up one episode. I felt they were more concerned about getting a second season, which I’m not opposed to than delivering a blowout finale. When you watch a finale and there are still unanswered questions, there is a lot to be desired.
I was disappointed with Jack Farthing’s limited air time. He has a lot to bring to the table, which makes me question why his lines were so few. I was truly inspired by Billy Howle and Erin Doherty’s dynamic acting.
Supporting actors, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Akshay Khanna, and Alexander Eliot were also fabulous. All the actors worked together to deliver outstanding performances from start to finish.
The finale deserves an 8. Get more Chloe recaps here. Support our work by clicking ReelMockery.

I was able to finish the series today. My 2 cents is that I got all the closure I needed. I think El more or less chased Chloe in a fit of controlling rage and she fell off the cliff, I dont think he actually pushed her off nor did she commit suicide. I think Becky got the closure she needed too finding out that Chloe really did want to reconcile the relationship but El prevented it. I think Becky was able to assuage the guilt she felt over Sasha, finally realizing she wasn’t to blame as her mother always implied. Now Becky can be Becky. She’s more or less broken up the El coalition. She was right all along and has proof through the letter Chloe wrote. She wrecked El and has the moxie to do the whole PR marketing thing in Bristol with or without Liv.
All in all I’m satisfied.
I think Jack’s character was complicated and few could have pulled it off like he did. It was a small part, but important. Very few could have done it the way he did.
That is good to hear and those are some great assumptions. You’re right about Jack. He really became one of my favorites from Poldark although I disliked the character in the beginning. We were supposed to hate and his performance made it that all much better.
I always enjoy seeing other honest opinions about these shows so thanks for writing all this! Hope you’re staying safe with the weather scare.
‘She receives a voicemail from a very irate Elliot. He expresses how much he hates her.’ – This isn’t what happened. Becky recorded the encounter in the kitchen where Elliot choked her and yelled that he hated her, and then, using Chloe’s phone, she posted it on Chloe’s Instagram. That’s what brought Elliot down.
Had to go back to watch it to be sure, but you are correct. That makes much more sense now. Thanks for the heads up.
I’m confused about the birth certificate! Who’s James Parker?
Interesting that I can’t seem to remember it being mentioned. Can you tell me which episode showed the birth certificate? Sorry it has been a while since I watched Chloe. If you can give me the episode though, I’ll go back and see if I can find answers or at least theories. The show hasn’t been renewed though so it doesn’t look like it’ll ever be expanded on at any point.
