This week, AMC Networks announced that the hit series A Discovery of Witches would be makings its television debut on AMC and BBC America. The announcement comes after the show was immensely successful on AMC Networks’ streaming services Shudder and Sundance Now. The series stars Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer.

A Discovery of Witches will begin its eight-week run on both networks starting on Sunday April 7, 2019 at 9 PM. The series has been adapted from Deborah Harkness’s bestselling book of the same name. Despite being a modern love story, A Discovery of Witches features witches, vampires and daemons working and living alongside humans. It is a Sky original production starring Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer.

Second and third seasons of the show have already been confirmed for Sky. The second series is expected to begin production sometime later this year. The full press release can be found here.
