A Look At Poldark Season 2

Have you been keeping up with the Poldark TV series? The series was undoubtedly one of the best of the year. This makes it unsurprising that BBC One would sign up for Poldark Series 2! The second season was announced on April 8, 2015. The first season held strong with nearly 7 million UK viewers for each episode. The show also did significantly well on PBS’s Masterpiece.

The series, which stars Adian Turner, as Ross Poldark and Eleanor Tomlinson, as his wife, Demelza, has been filming and pictures were just recently released. You can check out all of the recent pictures from season 2 of Poldark here. It doesn’t look like much has changed from the first series. The wardrobes looks like hand-me-downs and the romanticism is still present.

Of course, the second season has changed somewhat. It has been bumped up to 10 episodes and a variety of actors and actresses have been added to the Poldark cast. John Nettles, who is best known for his roles in Bergerac and Midsomer Murders, will appear. The little known Gabriella Wilde, who appeared in an episode of Doctor Who, will also join the cast. Finally, Any Human Heart actor, Hugh Skinner, has also signed on.

The regulars will return, including Ruby Bentall, Eleanor Tomlinson, Phil David, and Aidan Turner. The Poldark Season 2 episodes are currently being filmed across Bristol and Cornwall. Although it wasn’t a shocker to see the series renewed, it is nice to see the show get two additional episodes for the season. Well, are you prepared to return to Cornwall?

With his arrest in the finale of season 1, it will be interesting to see how Ross maneuvers his way free. Will anything be able to come between Ross and Demelza’s love? Fans of the show can only wait and see! Be sure to catch up with the series, as soon as possible, so you can be prepared for the next!
